Fury Downtime reaches 52 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!

slidersgaiaslidersgaia Member Posts: 8

Hello my Fury friends  (thanks Audux and Diend for posting to help out), Que here. I'm just checking in to help anyone who doesn't know whats going on. I've got some important news for you- NO ONE KNOWS WHAT'S GOING ON! This server down business is World Wide so fear not players aren't on having a blasty blast while you're stuck in the mood. Alright so possilbe reasons for the downtime. I've got a few-

1) The now between 7 and 15 man dev team may have finally accepted bankruptcy and are to emberessed to tell its going to fall in a flaming ball of Furious destruction- (lame i know :( )

2) There has been a serious technical malfunction and the team is struggling to get things up and running again, but this is unlikely because we would have been informed if this was the case, by some one, some where.

3) There has been a storm and electricy has isolated the entire Auron team as they get ravaged by cookie monsters and angry ex-Fury players. This is the most likely scenereo.

4) The Fury dev team are being retards and Patching without telling anyone, (this would not likely happen, just to tell you, i know we all want a patch so we can sell our prepatch gear to Que for very little G but i doubt this will happen as well).

5) Fury is dead and the developers are trying to suck a few last coppers out of it before it hits the floor.

Please respond if you know better than i do (which i'm sure alot of people do). Enjoy the not knowing whats going on but don't you dare start play WoW!

-Cheers, QUE

Wow. I was sooooo close to buying this game today. hahaha. Im so glad I chose not to. Dont get me wrong, I would probably find it really fun, but at the moment with the server offline and all this non-communication, things look EXTREMELY grim. By the way thanks for posting OP. Nice to get some info on the subject. :)

I'm hoping our friendly neighbourhood Fury community helper Systi will drop by soon and give us some more info (or at least PM me pls).

I'm also waiting for the obvious resident troll candidates to start trolling out their leet 'I told you so' banners any time now because I would be so dissappointed if they didn't.

you know whats really ironic is this ... for months the devs and team have kept ppl in the dark or on hold not only as to the status of FURY but also not updating any new content or fixxin the game while allowing their fanbase to be persuaded by forums which they tried to detract from by shuttin down their own official forums. Then earlier this week we finally got something from the GDC in which i had posted an earlier thread on here that stated they were lookin forward to it as well as a REVISED FURY .... but sadly there was nothing new from Tony as far as what to look forward too or what has been goin on ... only that they were lookin at possible investors but none have bit the bullet with them as far as securing them. Then just a day or two later the servers go down ... .and nothing i mean not a word from the team ... THIS IS BY FAR BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE one way or another .... there are ppl who paid for a service especially if they are monthly subscribers , regular gold buyers , or may have just purchased the game that day or in last few days in hopes of playing ... either way keeping ur customers in the dark for this long should be and is intolerable.

now to reply to this thread directly i like ur optimism

    1. this may be true to some degree as lookin for investors and not finding a security blanket may have something to do with it however i remember when they originally filed there was a site that said they were to be reassessed in 30 days ...im sure the probational period was extended a bit further  since the initial launch of the AoTC plan did show some significant difference , if they met their qouta,  however maybe it didnt satisfy in the long run and meet the expections therefore on the next reassessment they find they are truly out of money.

    2. I ll give the benefit of the doubt and say its the weekend however im sure there is someone watching servers 24/7 monitoring things in one way or another so even if so like u said we d know something.

    3. ME WANT COOOOKKIEEEES !!!  ..... lol ... either that or another truck hit there server database.

    4. Actually i would hope this was the most likely option ... a step up surprise after trollin these forums and others they realized that things arent how they should be and that to make it to the top one must ADAPT and ACCEPT CHANGE ... and MOVE FORWARD never back  ... kinda like heres the interview this week but we left u hanging ... we shut servers down did massive overhaul and implemented "AoTC IMMORTALS RETURN"   patch lauching with a new interview at beginning of week stating the changes. ONE COULD ONLY HOPE RIGHT   notice what i called the patch if they were smart this would be a great slogan to get vets back but now they d owe me for it since i said it first lmao ... and they couldnt afford it .

    5. now this would be the lamest  on their behalf but think this goes in line with ur first suggestion as theyd be one in the same.. but ill add to this a lil bit . The rest of the remaining team decided that they knew how the rest of the team was done before with the layoffs and paychecks , so they decided to get their last and bolted before they could be fired knowing FURY was headed for the graveyard and jumped ship to other games that we can look forward to in the future leaving the one man who was in charge of it all in charge and he s not an octopi nor can he multiply himself so instead he s been at home whittling wood thinkin what to do next.

I am hoping for option 4.

Although it is a bit dumb to do this without mentioning it to your playerbase, they have taken the servers offline for a few days in the past to do a massive patch. That was during Beta though, and doing this in retail with no notification at all is a bit suicidal.

There is a VERY SMALL CHANCE that they are trying some mad experimental patch but in case it all goes wrong they didn't want to inform us about it.

All this is speculation..servers are down at the moment...thats fact.

There is no way to describe this situation right now that i can think of that doesn't involve informative emo- faces- Before i begin thanks again to all who replied to my post- the more who talk about this the more those Auron folks have to think about-

Once upon a time there was the Fury team - They were pretty big about 70 people .  They decided to make a game called Fury that at first looked pretty promising . After the beta test that went and people made some suggestions a very  but fun game was released . The developers new it had some problems and  to fix it. After a long time of and , came out with a new patch called Age of The Chosen lets use to represent this. So now players had to fight in a very weird ladder system where winning against chosen can result in a loss of avatar points- interesting... So after a while of no info and no patches , decided to take Fury offline for now 57 hours which made everyone feel , and now Fury is starting to look a little bit like . as long as does some and within the next 1 day, I will continue to play, if this isn't resolved in the next 24 hours, i'm afraid let us down for good so good luck and safe gaming. Lets hope Fury doesn't end up nated  and  without its crown.

    Cheers  Que

Not that I even play it anymore, I still want a full refund of $49.99, not a penny less.

Im starting to think the dev team scraped fury my hopes arent that high that they are patching i think they just gave up or something... lets hope im wrong. those guyz are so dam dumb its amazing in my opinoin i would post news about the situation and lets everyone know about everything going on, or if its dead they should try to pass the game on to a different company that could better support fury if there is one

hmmm speaking of another company picking up FURY i know this has nothing to do with the posts but which company do u think would pick it up? ... My hopefuls would be :

    Activision- proven

NC soft- proven record plus fallin sales due to TR ... innovative company that thinks outside the box.... could u imagine GW and FURY both under their belt ... no offense to the dev team here at FURY but NC soft picks it up with a new team of devs and hire GW's skill balance team to rebalance and fix the game omg we may have a bigger winner here.

OG planet- not new to online F2p games [ albatross 18, cabal, rumble fighter , bb tanks] however they have a good dev team that actually pays attention to their community and feedback ... IMPO  would be since pvp fails in cabal their new game they pick up FURY to compensate it.

im not exactly sure which company would be best to pick it up...

1 . they should be a big company tthat would not be prone go banrupt like aruan

    2. they should be real gamers and should know whats best and what sucks

I wouldn't count so much on Systi anymore, since I brought to the attention of mmorpg.com the fact that someone not affiliated at all with Auran or fury was coming in here as community relations and asking for peoples' account info to "help" them. Apparently Systi was unable to show legitimate cause for players on this site to give such info to him, and unable to get Auran to give an confirmation to his status as even an unofficial community rep.

Last post Systi made was in the thread where I informed him I was reporting his actions to mmorpg.com and requested from the staff here that he be disallowed to continue without something to show his legitimacy: mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/post/1871682#1871682. This was Jan. 27th, his last login was Jan. 29th.

Dunno zorvan, originally you may have had cause... but now its starting to look like your just being a dick.

Not really, Pyro. I had legitimate cause in the beginning for what I did. And I have cause for what I do and say now. If it is being verified by the staff here, it does not give excuse for Systi to break rules that get any other member a warning and/or ban. And until it is verified, Systi still should not be operating in any kind of "official" status.

Maybe to some I look like a dick, but if it were to come out that Systi was using the account info for other means ( not saying he/she did ) and players were hurt by it, wouldn't I then be a dick for not alerting the people in charge who could stop it?

To make things a little clearer, let me do it this way:

A.) The site staff here ( Admin for one ) are not going to jump and ban someone on mine or anyone else recommendation alone. They check things out themselves first. Obviously there was indeed a problem noted, or their would have been no action taken.

B.) I posted in my conversation with Systi in the thread ( linked a few post up ) that I had made a report, and why. This was on the 27th of February. Systi last logged in on his/her main account on the 29th of February. This means Systi had 2 days to get in touch with the staff and say "Zorvan's wrong. Here's my proof.". Either Systi didn't take this quite sensible action, or Systi was unable to provide that proof. Thus, I assume, is where Systis' forum access was removed.

    C. Systi responds on an alternate account March 12th ( now yesterday in my time zone ) to basically say it's all my fault. That's 12 days from the time access was removed. Surely proof could have been provided in 12 days time, especially considering how close to the devs Systi has made him/her self appear in past posts. Yet, it's still being verified. To me, that's a continuing red flag. Add on top of this the commission of two rule infractions by Systi in the last post he/she made, and we're now all caught up.

If anyone "prevented Systi from coming here to help the community" ( as Systi put it ), it was Systi.

Nothing more I can really say, or should need to say. It's up to the staff here now.

Systi, if you'd seen some of the outlandish scams and stunts pulled by even official developers on this site in the past, you'd see nothing is ever too far fetched around here.

    And welcome back.

Welcome back Systi, got any news for us?

  • LOL Systi, I didn't know you were a champion and resurrected yourself. You've done more to help people in the old boards get help than anyone I know, welcome back.

    Welcome back mate

@Zorvan, man, i understand your point of view, but, and it is a huge but, i think u took things way to serious, i did fail to spot a single Systi post i wich could lead to anythings else but trying to put a few good words into a game, some players  love to play.

Next time, take a deep breath, and think twice, such advice, can also be used at RL.

wow how this thread got off of subject fast .... it went from being a whats goin on to a bash between posters nj guys ... not that it matters sometimes its hilarious however in this case i see both points from both ppl , Zorvan was just takin necessary precautions , though it was posted that systi was kinda like a forum liason before .  Keyword before and that was on the OFFICIAL FORUMs , nothing is official now cos we are on a 3rd party site. However at same time maybe he was being a Di#% but hey thats his right at same time so dont fault him.... all in all no harm no foul ... systi is back and FURY is still dead lol.

However we should really try to get a post of both current and past players with a lil please fix this then have as many of the community come here{  / sign  }  the post  and summit it to the dev team for changes . i guess if the main stay of the community agrees then theyd have to do right , oh nvm cos we already thought our voices counted lol.....
