Looking for clarification!

in Age of Conan: Unchained

Ok, so my guildmate says he was in a beta in july 2007.  He said he played for abit, then stopped.  I called him out b/c he's a frequent liar and asked him if he had beta to log on, say my name and SS it.  He said he cannot get on to his beta account anymore because you have to write a poem about the gods to be in beta now.  Basically I need info to prove or disprove his story.

    Idk about that. But me not being in beta I can't really help you out. To me it seems that someone shouldn't have to write poetry to stay in game. But hey maybe they are trying something new.

    The Poem-thing he mentions is indeed happening. But not as he says it. In fact, it is a contest where you could submit a prayer to the gods of the Conan Universe to Funcom in their Forums and from the submissions, they are going to select 200 people who will get a spot in the closed Beta. It is not a REQUIREMENT to get in, it is a contest that is being held by FunCom. It's CERTAINLY not needed for players who are already in Beta.

    So if he was in beta at one time there is NO reason he would have lost his spot?
