Hey all I was just wanting to read some of the books this game was based off of. I was going to go to the library today to check a couple of them out. I just need to know the titles of the books Robert E. Howard wrote and which order to read them in. Thanks in advance

Well I've read 2 of REH's books so far. They are titled "Weird tales of Robert E. Howard" Volumes 1 and 2. They are composed of the stories that R.E.H. started with in the 1930's and feature some of the other characters he has thought up such as Solomon Kane, Kull and I believe the first ever Conan of Cimmeria. The stories feature different genres such as mystery, a bit of horror I think and also a lot of swords and sorcery. If any of that interests you give them a look see. They provided me with entertainment and I did enjoy them quite a bit. You can see quite nicely how his view of the world during the 1930's impacted his writing and story telling.
Hope that helps.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

rofl. wow thats a lot more books than I thought. Thats too much for me to read lol. Anyone know which books to start with that would benefit me most with the lore of this game? Thanks everything has helped
If all you're interested in is the Conan saga then there is a three volume compilation containing everything Howard wrote on the subject: The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian, The Bloody Crown of Conan and The Conquering Sword of Conan. These are the US publishers titles. In the UK they are titled, Conan of Cimmeria, volume's 1, 2 and 3. These are new publications and all are still available. (some cheaper than others)
May I also recommend the Guide to Conan hardback to you as a new starter? It's a great source of info, plus some of the best illustrations from the comics.

Just last week I have gotten The complete chronicles of Conan - it's a glorious collection of Howard's work put together in a leather bound hard cover. One of the coolest books I have ever owned, and I can only recommend it!
Is there a time line for the books written by Howard or can you start reading anywhere?
""But Coyote, you could learn! You only prefer keyboard and mouse because that's all you've ever known!" You might say right before you hug a rainforest and walk in sandals to your drum circle where you're trying to raise group consciousness of ladybugs or whatever it is you dirty goddamn hippies do when you're not busy smoking pot and smelling bad."

I can only seem to find the paperback version on the US site. But I found the other 3 paperback versions by Del Ray so I might end up getting those. Thanks for all the help.
