Aion PvP

Well my question is how open will the PvP in AIon be? I am very content with Lineage 2 PvP where it is  a constant threat and extremely open. From my impressions at the moment the Abyss is the only place  PvP will go down. Other than duels and such. Please correct me or inform me on any information on this subject that is known.

    There is slightly open PvP in Aion outside of the Abyss. At any given time random Portals will open in Elyos and Asmodian lands. The portals lead to the apposing factions territory and you may engage in open PvP when you find an enemy to engage ^^. Hope this helps.

    I see well thats kind of cool. I was just hoping that I could  kill my allies :P ya know if they piss you off. But can you travel to the enemies territory and engage them in pvp?

    You can't kill your allies.

    The only way you can travel to engage the enemy is to catch a portal that opens up to "the other side". It also seems that there are areas you won't be able to kill the enemy such as new player areas, etc.

    Sounds good to me. I think this game is gonna come up behind AoC and WAR and bite them on the ass. I can't wait :)

    I think this game will bring many of those disenchanted by L2 pvp back into NC's fold. However as the big guy said in the interview, their aim is to bring non-pvpers to the game via simplicity, which many of the more advanced L2 players will not sacrifice.

    Certainly, its everything you've ever wanted from L2 graphically with exceptions for some rather mundane content. Go where Kamael cannot... oh yeah, Become a Boss?... any day!

    Perhaps its cynical and pessimistic but all I see for this game is a place where L2 players can enjoy some hot action pvp on a field of diminishing zerg whilst they gleefully bot up their L2 toons to nearly the same Character result.
