This would make me play again

Righto. Posted this already in the Game Suggestion section, but i dunno if many people read there tbh. I've played WoW for 2 years and quit about 4 months ago. I loved that game but it just has nothing more to offer me at the moment. These are just a few things that would bring me back to the game if they were implemented. My question to you is this? Do you think that these features will ever be implemented? Let me know ;)

I'd love to see the ability to learn other races languages. Like Humans being able to learn Orcish, therefore allowing them to speak to some Horde chars. I still can't get my head around why Night Elves cant speak to Blood elves already. Didn't they speak the same language at some stage? I'm sure theres a historical reason for this. ;) This would totally add a new dimension to the game and would open up the community a bit. It would make PvP a bit more interesting if we could trash talk or RP with the opposite faction in BGs. Maybe if they just limit it to /say command to begin with and maybe expand from there? Just a thought.

I'd also love to see a Graphics update. WoWs graphics are rough on the eyes for me. I'm not saying to upgrade them to VG quality or anything, just a moderate increase that would still allow most players to be able to handle it on their rigs. Tabula Rasa esque graphics maybe? A little less even.

And finally, i'd love to see a little meaningful PvP going on. Like World PvP actually meaning something significant. Like faction controlled areas that maybe have the best crafting mats, vendors, instances or quests? Would be so cool if there was a highend instance that could be only accessed by the faction that controls the surrounding area. It would totally open up PvP a bit and might even appeal to the more carebear natured people, as its only in certain areas and its not like theres full loot or anything. Hardcore players would probably enjoy this too. I dunno...thoughts people?

idk how they would do it

but i would love to see world PVP on PVP servers start up again

not nessesarily in the ganking sense, but in the sense of prevalent organized attacks on cities and towns

They could easily code in a way to learn other languages. Unfortunattly, noone uses thier race language and its all defaulted to alliance or horde common. However, it would be a cool thing to do.

As for world PvP for the PvP servers, that is simple. Just significantly increase the points gained by PvP outside the battlegrounds or give some other reward in addition ...like arena points or loot drops (not from the players, but spawned loot)

However, WoW is NOT a PvP game, its a PVE game that just happens to have PvP. woW needs to stay atop PVE content, all else is secondary

1 - Language - Personally don't see this as important, you don't really spend much time with the opposite faction to speak to them anyway and we have emotes to wind them up with. Chatting wouldn't really help in BG's as by the time you have stood there writing a "Yo' Mamma" line, a guy will have dropped you like a sack of spuds anyway :)

2 - Graphics - It would maybe nice to see some touching up here and there, but again from a personal perspective i like the functionality of the WoW graphics. They work and do what they are intended to do, so why fix what aint broke.

3 - PvP - I would agree on this front, it would be nice to see some more meaningful world PvP to get people involved in the whole Horde vs Alliance thing. Maybe more of what they have in Nagrand where the capture of Halaa actually has rewards in terms of Honor and of course you cannot collect faction rewards without it either. I think you may see more of this kind of thing in WOTLK as they are talking about seige engines in that, but we will have to see what they come up with.

It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.

About the language. If I remember correctly, some time during beta, the Foresaken could speak common (as they rightly should being that they are undead humans). That function was removed because there was a lot of trash talking during PvP and unfortunately, that was Blizzard's answer. They still kept the /spit and /fart emotes though... Sometimes I don't get their logic.

Would be nice to understand other races though.

As for world pvp, I agree. There need to be some meaningful world pvp objectives.

Oh and a graphics update would be nice too.

Languages would make a very interesting role playing element.

We know orcs/Tauren/trolls have speak the same language, but Undead should be able to speak Common (human) and Gutterspeak.

There is SUPPOSE to be a divide between the rest of the Horde and the Forsaken. Languages could be a perfect way to support this divide.

Same with the Blood Elves, they could speak Elvish and Common. This would further the divide between the "core" Horde races and the Undead/Blood Elves...

I understand why they didn't. More difficult to find a group and communicate, plus ability to talk trash to other faction. So make an option to "turn off" speech from the other faction. Have your ability to understand a races language go up as you gain Reputation with that race.

    Anywho...

More open world PvP = good. They are "suppose" to be working on this with WotLK

Graphics upgrade = Good. Make it like LOTRO, have a "high res" client available for download w/ further DX10 support

Yep, I wish Blizzard had more world PvP rather than instanced crap. The only PvP instance that I'd really enjoyed when I played the game was Alterac Valley because it was huge. Also, I wish Blizzard had less servers with many players rather than many servers with few players.

P.S. $15/months is way too expansive

This won't happen, ever.  Trash talking would get out of hand and I dont really see much roleplaying going on this way.  I personally already see alot of cross faction freindships although, via realm and guild forums.

I'd also love to see a Graphics update. WoWs graphics are rough on the eyes for me. This would be great, but another thing that might not come for awhile.  It would be great for those of us who could upgrade (which should be almost every "gamer"), but upgrading graphics that would end up keeping some current subscribers from playing would give Blizz a ton of heat.

And finally, i'd love to see a little meaningful PvP going on. Like World PvP actually meaning something significant. Oh how i wish they would implement meaningful world pvp.  Bg's are nothing more than a joke.  Just a grind for gear, not even fun.  I personally like arena, but thats only a few hours a week.  And once my team ratings are up high (gladiator)  my teams stop playing and i have nothing to do anymore.

if  u dont want to be ganked by some high lvl.... go in Normal server

  • I just think that it would be cool for RP if Forsaken and Humans could speak to eachother (in /say mind you). same goes for Blood Elves and Night Elves. But then again, not much RP goes on, even on the RP servers. This may be just a dream for me...

i think the final game will be challenge  between players .not the players with mops

maybe you live PVP with other players or just be envious of their suits.

i think it is the same in essence

so i think the better way to inprove the game influence ,there will be great culture between ours.

remove BG and Arena ... bring back the rpg in mmorpg ...

and I am not talking about acting like some homo but what I am saying is care about endgame and get more guilds focused on rewards from that instead of catering to pvpers ...

pvp rewards for world kills should be put in place but the rewards should only be trinkets and gems and nothing more ...
