Hello. I'm new to MMORPGs the only games i've played in the past are the Realm, CoH (a little bit) and Lord of the Rings online. I'm looking for a game that isn't to hard and is fantasy or gothic based. Any suggestions
Try World of Warcraft if you haven't already. It's really easy game to get into so it's good for beginners and those who aren't so skilled, if Lotro did run on your computer then you won't have any problem running WoW, and it's the most polished and most fun game out there at the moment. There is also huge amount of content, and in addition to PvE there's also a well working PvP part. And there is a free trial so you don't have to pay to test it out.
You might also want to check out Guild Wars if you are into PvP. Or if you like FPS games, you might have some fun with Tabula Rasa, it's a FPS/MMO -hybrid wich sadly suffers from getting repetitive and having nonexistant end-game. Or if you like strategy games, you might enjoy trying out Dofus. The game itself isn't otherwise so good, but its turn-based battles are really fun for a while.

best fantasy mmo is eq2 imo
lineage 2 is also awsome, and there is a new server for eu players soon 
WoW or GW, GW has the advantage of no monthly fees. But both are easy enough to pick up and play without to much thinking.
If you're into sandbox type MMOs, check out Wurm Online. Fast action/diablo 2 style, check out Mythos. Open PvP: Shadowbane
