Ive played the game for 9 months and was stationed in 0.0 space with CA/C4 for 4 months. Any questions on gameplay ask away. Its a great game and its not worth giving up if you dont understand a few simple things..

unfortunately there are a couple here that played for less than a week and think they know everything about EVE's game mechanics.  You're not going to get through to them..others tried.

Best thing is to let them whine and moan and eventually they'll disappear

Do not get me wrong, I am completely up for criticism. I just draw the line when someone doesn't even know how to play it yet thinks they know everything there is to know and then when shown they were wrong by multiple people, they still think they're right.

These are the type of people that you just have to let go as the EVE in-game community would be better off without them.  Sad to say, but true.

    Hey,

I just downloaded EVE Online a couple of days ago, and I want to know how teamwork comes into play early in the game.  My friend downloaded it, and we can't find anything that we can do together.  Just wanted to know what to do, mining is a little boring.  I want to understand this game better before I scrap it.

    Thanks

Ahh very good question! Eve has several aspects of team work, I will introduce you to a couple aspects based on level of expeirence within the game.

1st your question, I understand mining is boring but this is an effective way of doing it and profiting in short time. Being new to the game and having a friend is very helpful. Grab a good mining frig or better yet cruiser and an industrial ship (which if you play enough both are achivable within 3 days of serious play Mining. But back to the subjesct, One in a mining ship and other in a freight ship, miner jetison a can and swap fresh mined ore into it while the indy scoops out into cargo. When indy is full it will dump at nearest station (make sure it has reine capabilities and try to make it a station with best market for your minerals to sell) do this for a few days and you can easily buy your skills and ships/equipment to do the more interesting things. As a beginer I suggest 0.9 system belts mining Scor, plag and pyrox.  Do this in a group of trusted people 8 deep and you can clear full belts in a short matter of time (I would say a ratio of 1 hauler to every 2 to 3 miners depending on mining capabilities.

Next, slightly more advanced but well achievable in a group of 4 to 8... get a couple Black birds (caldari cruisers) equip one with warp jamming, web and speed and the other with sensor dampners/booster or multi spec jammers.. shield booster on both BB's (I prefer dampners) and 2 to 4 monster cruisers set up for shield boosting and pure combat ( I prefer Caracels and Ruptures Caldari and minmatar) maybe even a fast frig for tackling. Then find yourself the back side of a 0.0 gate and camp! LOL risky and it gives a bad rep but its one hell of a time! Be carful jumping In i suggest watching your map for people and jumping in as a group. Oh yea... Make sure you all have mastered your micro management in battles before even attempting one of these manuvers! And If your in a corp make sure its one that approves on these acts, also do your research on alliance territories I would get approval from them first ( they may not mind aslong as you dont shoot them, It helps keep territories clear of malicous acts from opposing alliances or aimless wanderers)

Good luck and hang in there, the first few months are difficult but very fun if your focused!!

Oh yea, This is my old alliance before i couldnt afford to play the game anymore a few buddies in this Video check it out (Best example of teamwork at the most advanced part of the game) This video is an example of the things to look forward to in the near future, and it should entice you to mine harder and faster. Sad but true Mining is the best way to accumulate fast cash!

I understand where you guys are coming from, but lets try and be a little more optimistic for the people who seek good questions and real help. If someone becomes cocky on my topic then I will simply ignore them image
