Sounds like an intresting take on the MMO. I hope it at least releases so we can see if the idea is feasible.
""But Coyote, you could learn! You only prefer keyboard and mouse because that's all you've ever known!" You might say right before you hug a rainforest and walk in sandals to your drum circle where you're trying to raise group consciousness of ladybugs or whatever it is you dirty goddamn hippies do when you're not busy smoking pot and smelling bad." Coyote's Howling: Death of the Computer
The more I think about this concept the more I feel it could be revolutionary.
If these devs show this is a viable way to run an MMO then we could see companies following suit. So instead of having 100 servers with 10,000 players each you could have 500 servers with 200 players each.
I am not certain but it would seem that there could much more player created content. Comunities would be tighter, and players could be given the ability to have a much greater impact on the world.

The game is first-person, and I've never been a fan of first-person games. However, I may be willing to let that gripe slide being that the concept is particularly interesting.

It sounds a lot like Seed: a game that had huge potential, but just pushed out too soon.

Yeap, the one with the impressionist BG shots, Love. Still too early to say anything, really.

Maybe.
Another game to consider as it evolves.

I would bet my money on it but it is certainly interesting enough to watch for.
