it will almost be certain for me, I play LOTRO and when I pvp in the moors, I have to turn graphics to the very lowest setting possible.. when I am not pvping, I can turn the grahpics to full blast with no lag at all, I can run a 12 man rift raid with graphics at full blast, and rarely ever get a studder, but when it comes to all out pvp, graphics have to go on 0.
I honestly don't think any game coming out soon, conan or war will be able to offer anything better, stability wise. it has been this way with every mass-pvp game, DAOC was the same way when the servers were popular, even with a up-to-date computer for that game it hogged resources when you were assaulting keeps.
fact is, even ironforge in world of warcraft can be laggy if there are 2 raids worth of people just standing there, not even throwing fireballs or swinging swords but just standing there, and world of warcraft, no matter how bad people hate it, offers the smoothest game engine an MMO can provide..
so, i think small skirmish's will be fine, but if you are fighting guild vs guild, your graphics will need to be turned down to a minimum, that's just my opinion
