Easy way to tell mob levels?

Is there an easy way to tell a mobs level before taking it on to know if you can handle it or not? I know for example people tend to take on the wolves etc too early because the quests seem to be given out before the level needed. I have noticed that after you fight a mob and you use the alt button there is some of an indicator but they wording used can sometimes be vauge. It would help if there was a way to tell before you get in over your head with a fight.

    actually you can hunt just about anything in this game not worrying about levels because if you know the mobs movements you can counter it with another thing. any mob is beatable you just gotta work out a strategy on different type of mobs.

    Press Alt.  This gives you an approximate level beside the monster's name. From Weakest to Boss.
