vanguard, PotBS, DnL were all number ones as well..so i wouldn't read too much into it...
normally i don't pre order since the rise and fall of many mmorpgs before almost burned my fingers a few times, but this time i preordered the CE here as well just hope i won't be let down hehe

Um, I hate to say it, but while lots of preorders are good news, they aren't actual sales. The majority of preorders don't even actually pay any money.
So perhaps it should be "pc game that most people say they're interested in buying of march".

What were the other possible game sales they were competing against? I suppose I could watch the clip from xplay to see what the other top contenders were but... not that desperate

Thats the bottom line, people just pre-order to get into beta .A lot of times it is the press as well to get a jump on early review.
Except that AoC never offered a guaranteed Beta-Spot if you Pre-Order, or did they? I know WAR went that route, but I've never read it for AoC. If I overlooked it, sorry, feel free to point me to the info.

Pre-Order guarantees you a place in the Open Beta. Not in the Closed one.

The pre order thing for WAR isn't Closed beta its Open Beta....they're basically having a limited Open Beta ... and its only found at random Gamestops so far since the official information on how it works isn't out till the 26th *sniffs with sorrow wishing the gamestop nearby were giving there's out early*

Gamestops and EB's actually should all have the slips/fliers now for the preorder codes, they just weren't supposed to give them out until the official announcement. Each of these stores should receive these fliers based on their current preorders, and then they get a handful more for people looking to preorder soon. You will all get one soon.
