Fable....who cant wait?

Man I can not WAIT to get my hands on Fable. Reason I want it so bad is its kind of like an MMORPG but better. Growing char that develops the way you want him. Haircuts, ageing and the cool muscle and skin tint from sun.
People in towns fearing you or laughing at you for what you do and wear. Pubs singing songs about you if ya slay a mighty beast.
By god Fable will take me over before EQ2 or any MMORPG..
Anyone else waiting for Fable?

Just because its not online doesn't mean is sucks... Im not going to say anymore.....
As for Fable, I cant wait. When I saw it in a magazine I couldn't wait for it to come out. Im a big fan of rpgs, I loved Baulders Gate and what not, anyways, It looks like it can provide hours of gameplay. And although online play would be nice, I dont find it necassary.(sp?)

As far as Fable not having MP....I could care less. Its all about the world simulation. Forget added MP which might of hurt some of the current features.

Ive been waiting on Lionhead or Mylenoux to produce a mmorpg, but i dont think they could stay in the same frame of mind after making a game and continuing to develop it. They get new inventive ideas every day so a mmorpg from them seems a bit much to hope for
But if they ever did a mmorpg, they would reinvent the whole thinking about it just like they have done with all other genres they have dabbled in or created themselves.
Hope they start on something mmo'ish after this release ^^

I really want to play it, except I don't have an Xbox. I don't plan on getting one either because all the games are expenive. Let it come out for PC eventually...
If it can compete with Morrowind, I will somehow manage to play it.

Im not sure Fable will come to the PC ... I think one of the reasons Lionhead chose the Xbox for their game is because of its extremely versatile, revolutionary design platform, which is called XMA if I remember rightly. It's meant to allow games to be designed and made much more easily (In laymans terms
). I don't know a huge amount about XMA, so I wouldn't know how easily the Fable code could be transported and modified to and for the PC. Fable is such a big game its bound to take some work converting it, if they do choose to.
A Lionhead/Moleneux MMORPG? Perhaps they might lay down the revolutionary foundations for one, but as you said, I dont think they could stick with it with all their other ideas whizzing around. From what I have read about them, and seen of their work, these guys are amazing. Im sure anything they produce in the future is bound to be a hit!

In America Fable comes out on the 14th of September ... here in England its scheduled on the site for "sometime in october if we can be bothered, you stupid european looooosers!" ... *sigh* Looks like Im going to have to get it shipped.
Im a bit worried. 3 of the 7 votes so far are in favour of slaughtering innocent villages and villagers and being truly evil! :S I read in something, or perhaps it was in a preview video (maybe from E3?) that evil people aren't likely to get the cutesy girls in town, because they'll be scared of you, but there will always be people down at the docks who like things a little ... rougher ...

This game looks so damn amazing to me...It has a ton of features that will keep me playing for a long long time:
1) Unprecedented AI that remembers your actions in game throughout your entire game...i.e. You burn down a guys house his brother may come back for revenge...a
2) Great character customization...tatoos, haircuts, beer belly if you drink too much, battle scars...and of course horns if your real evil, and a halo if your super good.
3) Back to the AI...when you enter a town the townspeople will reveer you if you have helped out the people in the village by completing quests for them. If you are an evil character, have burned down their homes, killed their trader, and basically reeked havoc on their town...then the townspeople will run from you in fear.
4) Real economy....if you steal all the incoming shipments of arrows for example, then the price of arrows skyrockets
5) The possibilty of not only being a kickass hero, but also being a kickass capitalist...you can own houses, stores, and pubs, and have NPC's working for you...
6) Every single line of dialogue is spoken
anyway if this game can live up to the hype it will be the most revolutionary RPG ever made

To answer your question about open endedness...from what I understand it will be open ended and linear. Simply put you can do what ever you like but there are "chapters", and you will be able to skip to the next "chapter at your convenience....I think when you go to the next "chapter" your character ages and you probably will see some kind of cutscene on what to do next....also you can continue to play in the game even after you have completed the main quest (which takes about 30 hours if you ignore everything in the game except what is important to complete the main quest, otherwise there should be 100+ hours of gameplay).

yes, fable will most certainly kick a$s. Anyone remember harvestmoon. Seems kind of similar, but u couldnt kill shit in harvestmoon, lol, you could however marrie a girl, mine, own shops, farm and other stuff.. Harvestmoon was based in a sort of 2-d layout tho with a birdseye view

I plan to playout fable to its fullest, enjoying the 3-d environment and buying a mansion and marryin a Hottie and bang her a couple times and... oh nevermind, heheheh

I cant wait to cast a lvl4 Fire Blast near town and windows and doors blow off. HAHAHA! Kill the entire town then take it over and charge travelers high rates to come into town and buy/sell and buy houses. The game sounds so good I can actually do all that.
As for comment about Consoles grow up and get into MMORPG.....Like what??? NO MMORPG can offer ANY of the stuff in Fable. Even EQ2 wont offer all the special stuff besides NPC speech(dont get me wrong cant wait for EQ2). This console game owns MMORPG in the questing and freeness area.
