Haya everyone
Im a old vanguard beta player, i played it a month after it was released, and then i quit. For some weeks now, i have bin thinking of, hows the game now. And i dont wanna pay just fir checking, so i would like to ask u guys, hows the game now, compaired to beta, swimming were crap, u jumped in water, and now water efect in the water, when i were diving, extreamly laggy,
are these problems taken cared of?
Im thinking of going back, but i dont know if its just as crap as b4, and i also hear the porpulation is very low

you'll never get a "true" answer here.. You are better off rolling your own dice and finding out for yourself.. All you will get here is a flame war of so called "vanbois" and "haters"...soo..
Why bother? they fixed somewhat graphic performance but they took out customizations of characters and are running a skeleton crew of devs. Wait for AOC on May 20th 2008. It was a waste of $15 a month checking back to this game. Dont fall for it like me.
it has improved hugely since release. Performance is better although there is still some hitching but it is less. They have content all the way to lvl 50 now. Almost all the chunks are now open. There have been countless improvements and bug fixes.
I'd say it is release quality now and worth playing. I think you will find that it is pretty fun. They keep adding stuff to the game with each update so thats good as well. The next update promisses to address the hitching issue and make that go away. AT that time I'd call performance outstanding if they succeed.
populations have been increasing so I don't think you will find the pop to be a problem. There seem to be people running around even in starting areas. With the new riftsystem you will be able to get around and meet up with people in the low teens. So grouping is a lot easier as well.

Its playable now.
I don't know about the water though, I haven't needed to jump into any in awhile.That seams to be your major area of concern?
Pops are good on at least 2 of the remain 4. The Euro is good and one of the NA's.
If it "was just crap" before why are you checking back???? What was "just crap", the performance or the entire game? If its just the performance that was "just crap" then you should be Ok as they have patched it up to the point that it is playable, if its the game mechanics or the art, then its still the same game.
Dunno, you were not very clear as to what you are looking for, just the water part. I'll jump in a lake and see.
You don't really seem all that interested in the game though, I wouldn't re-up if I were you.
