Hello To All The PEEPS 
VIDEO GAMES ARE FOR TEENS AND KIDS!!!
If I hear that once more someone`s gonna get Kicked Real Hard (Well Ok maybe not real hard but at least kicked. Well maybe not kicked but I will frown real mean at them....LMAO) I thought with the market the way it is and how much games have advanced that the idea of video games being for kids was a thing of the past. But yet I still hear it and it usually comes from people that are real uptight and think that they are a vital part of everyones life. I offically put my age in my profile today and Damn it I am proud of it (yep 33). I mean who made the rules of when to stop playing games and "grow up?" and at what age do they say it`s supposed to start? I still really enjoy the simple things in life and video games are 1 of them.
So on that note I am real curious to see what the other older gamers in here have to say and as well the younger gamers in here and what they think of it all.

I honestly think that is a false statement about games being just for kids and teens. I'm 20 years old, and I still play just as much as I did when I was 12, but I know a bunch of people, including both parents that play MMORPG's..My dad is a worse addict than I am to Everquest and my mom plays SWG on a weekly basis..Whoever said that should be slapped very hard, or if more than one dumbass said it, they all need to be slapped. I'm more than willing to bet every single person who said that is a child. People play MMORPG's or any game for that matter based on interest of looks, gameplay, interaction for the online ones, and umm..other things..Anyways, just thought I'd offer my 2 copper pieces :P

I think that games are meant for every one. It dose'nt matter who, what, or How old you are to enjoy a game. I have been playing games sense I was six and I am not to about to stop now.
Anyways Games are meant for entertainment just like movies, and your never to old to watch a movie.

Well Alpha, its good to know you "mere babes" still retain your enthusiasm for gaming
I have long thought that my ex-wife was unreasonable thinking that I should not be playing games at my age. But then again, I still consider myself a "young" gamer at 51.
It boils down to this....either you love games or you do not. Age has little to do with it except as an excuse for those who do not love games. When I opened that dungeon door in the original Wizardy game on my Apple IIe back in 1982, I knew I'd be playing games on the PC for the rest of my live.
I'm a pretty hard-core gamer. And I have come to the conclusion not that games are for just kids. But alot of adults just dont have the time for games. Main reason being. Full-time job. Wife, children, etc. etc.
Which starts to take up quite a bit of time. Games usually takes up more time then something like a movie. Especially MMRPG's.

sorta like climbing trees is to me - I climb a tree and people think I'm half-witted for doing it, and then I flip on discovery or something and watch someone climb a rock. The difference is? I enjoy climbing trees because it's a challenge and I'm good at it.
but, yeah, video games aren't just for "kids". My father's not the youngest person in the world and he was the first in the family to actually play a computer game. Our first one might have been King's Quest or Dune II. not sure on that.

Hee hee, that's how I felt after that first night of "I'll play for just another 15 minutes..." In about '79-80' I overheard another student giving the name of a text-parser game that had been put on NTSU's BCIS department's mainframe. It was a ten year old IBM 1020 with about 20 tape drives and a half dozen Winchester hard drives.
I've been playing "just another 15 minutes..." ever since.

I am 28 and still gaming strong. Altho what games I play has changed from what I liked when I was 15. I have no plans in stop gaming at all. Heck its the only time I can relax after a days work!
I met a guy on a mmog and he was 50+ and loved it. The way he chatted and acted you could never tell his age.

My dad plays video games and hes 44. without him, i might wouldn't have got into video games. my dad is loves 1st person games like Halo and games like WarCraft and Dynasy Warriors 4. I'm glad that my pops play video games (he own the xbox and i own the PS2 and some other consoles
) and we have a HUGE video game collection. My dad is cool cuz he plays video games and it's uncommon for dads to do that.
Lots of old ppl play video games. did you ever think about who made/created the games you play? Adults do it and they play it too. so this topic is pretty much false cuz video games are for EVERYONE!!! Your never too old to play video games and i will be playing and working in the VG industry soon.
