About Us:
Eternal Conscript is making an appearance in Funcom's new Age of Conan, Hyborian Adventures, MMORPG. Our memberbase is composed of friends made over the many years in a number of various genre titles, friends of those folks, and our family members (married couples, siblings, etc). We're settling in and ready to see what Funcom can offer us.
This is not a "start-up" guild. We have a strong "core" and many of us have played this or that alongside each other for years. We're coming to the table with a lot of combined experience, successes, and pedigree.
However as we have grown with the industry the time we can commit has scaled down matching increased real life obligations. Our approach coming through the gates will be organized yet casual. Those riding the fence on the casual line shouldnt be immediately turned off. It depends on exactly what you are looking for. Many of our members will log substantial hours. Some will not. If you play 2-3hrs a night or 5-6hrs/night, with a bit more on some weekends here and there its likely you'll find us compatible. Less is absolutely fine. I use the above as examples of what you are likely to find if activity is important.
Our time will be equally divided between both PvE and PvP content with a bit more emphasis on PvP. Our focus will be an organized approach with a foundation set on fun and community. We are a small and tight-knit group of folks and we intend to stay this way.
We will be playing on a normal ruleset server. Once Funcom has made servers public we'll vote for server selection. We have no specific timezone more populated by members than another and also have members from outside of the U.S.

Guild category (PvE,PvP,Raid,Other): PvP/PvE. A bit more emphasis on PvP however with that said we will also be spending a lot of time questing, exploring, and working towards building and maintaining our Player City. Members will not log in and find others completely uninterested in Funcoms PvE content we very much look forward to exploring Hyboria, tackling the instances, etc.
Roleplay: Non-RP Guild, we are not against it, we just dont roleplay ourselves.
Voice: Vent, Optional
Recruiting members status: Open, temporarily to all classes. However, specifically we need Necromancers and PoM's. As release approaches and the game launches we will be shutting the doors on recruiting. Our target hardcap is roughly 40ish so essentially whichever happens first. Like mentioned above, we are small, and we do intend to stay this way.
Age old quality versus quantity perspective. Older? More on the casual side than not? Couples team? Enjoy poking fun at each other here and there? Want to surround yourself with experienced MMO veterans that ARENT trying to revolve thier lives around them? Do not like being told how, when, and where to play? You'd fit in. Please contact myself or one of our officers we'd love to add and welcome you in.

Great, create a user name and the standard log in information over at guildportal (link above), hit the "join" button at the top of our homepage. Once you've read the charter (assuming you havent) and dont see any blaring disagreements I can get you hooked up.

We'll be accepting another 5-10 apps and shutting the doors on recruiting until after release. We have some folks currently undecided as far as choosing thier main's. In order to prevent ballooning past our soft cap this is necessary so we do not end up lop-sided with to many of class "X" and not enough "Y." We're not closed at the moment but we will be soon.
Note- Applicants need to post an application. You also need to read our charter and sign off on it. We are getting a lot of folks requesting site access and membership yet failing to tell us who you are. I mean, literally, nothing.
We will not add anyone to our roster or grant access to our boards until we have spoken with you, learned something about you, etc.

We're in the market for a few MA's. We've ran assist chains off caster MA's (successfully) however I think we'd prefer soldiers.
Specifically, functioning in that capacity within a PvP environment (running assist chains, able to quickly identify one class from another, possibly driving so knowing where you are going is essential, comfortable and capable acting in a leadership capacity without being a prick, must use vent, able and willing to learn your class and all others properly, etc, etc, etc) however also filling the same shoes in PvE scenerios.
We are not asking you to come to the table with a 10 year, top quality, pedigree. Experience is preferred but not required. This is a new game. There is time to overcome the learning curve we all expect. If you have multi-game PvP experience, love to tank and are great at it, are familiar with what is required to function as an MA, and believe you can fill these shoes, are willing to make the effort to become profecient and competitive, great. That will work.
You [i]must fit our guild[/i]. Read our charter it is very clear.
You must be committed to playing Age of Conan with a high expectation of continued interest (i.e. if you plan to play WaR immediately upon it's release and this is just the in-between game for you please do not waste our time. We will certainly not waste yours.)

Unless accepted in an "MA" capacity we have closed active recruiting to the Guardian Class.
I am interested in applying to your guild, as I am attracted to any older more experienced group - but I wonder from the rigour of the application form what you mean by 'casual' in your thread title.
I consider myself on the more active end of casual, but as a dad cannot always guarantee fixed numbers of hours per week at specific times...
Regarding classes, am pretty flexible at the moment.

We mean exactly what we say. As in, in our Charter.
As far as playtimes are concerned everyone's will vary. You mention that you are border-lining the typical definition of "casual." We have members who intend to play more hours than others. We have members who will play less. No one cares. No one is going to monitor member activity or lack of.
There is no "rigorous" application process (I have no idea what is being implied here). You read our charter, you post an app, you sign on for board access, we accept you (assuming you fit), and if you arent a jerk off you are in to stay.
