just completed my guild wars collection, purchased Nightfall and Eye of the North today and i am having a blast in the Nightfall campaign.  i am looking forward to the hall of heroes being filled with deeds from my Assassin/Necro or my Ranger/Dervish.

this game is a very fun MMO and i suggest anyone who is new to MMO's or hates the current selection of same old games then Guild wars is a good game for you

MMO wish list:

-Changeable worlds
-Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads

I wouldn't suggest new players to this game, they usually end up confused about all the theory crafting in the the game. Even if I would recommend the most players to play the game it doesn't fit for everyone. Have to (kind of) agree with you that the Nightfall campaign as really good, my personal favorite.

i loved factions mainly due to the Assassin (always look for a class like that in every game i play) but the storyline was good too.  Nightfall is a bit more questy but i do like rising up in the ranks of the Sunspears

I disagree about the recommendations, but that's likely cause most of the people I personally deal with are willing to deal with confusion for the sake of having the chance to actually keep up. I find a lot of the friends I get into guild wars love the fact that you aren't grinding to level 100 constantly being beaten on by the people that have been around since beta.

I also agree on Nightfall. The flow of the storyline and how you progress from point to point was a lot more refined from Prophecies. As great as Proph was, I got annoyed when I completed a mission then suddenly got dropped into a new town where I'd explored none of the surrounded map. Not to mention, I'm kind of partial to the Tihark Orchard mission. ^_^

Well at least it's fun that people don't always have the same opinions; I personally hate rising up in ranks of Sunspear (and all other ranks for all that matters) as it usually includes some, lame, farming to get to the higher ones. Factions storyline was kind of funky too, too much Shiro hunting I prefer the Nightfall one.

I agree, guild wars is fun at the beginning, but when you have finnish the PvE part several times, it gets boring. The only reason i still play the game sometimes is because of the PvP part, it has the best pvp system unlike to other games. but, that's just my opinion.

Im glad that Eye of the North gives you the option of filling the Hero's Handbook and Master Dungeon Guide

with the primary quests/dungeons. First time I've seen nongrind reputation gaining in a MMO.

It is also a nice incentive to help others with those primary quests, because you simply can get a new empty Hero's handbook and put that in your inventory instead of the full/partially filled one.

Of course, there is still the option to simply grind mobs using the shrine buff's. Interesting for people who are going for the Vanquisher title.
