I think it is the best rpg but there will come other games better. Like I know have my eyes on another MMORPG called citadel of sorcery although it is under development I think it will be like Runescape or even better then Runescape.

Wow, when I read your title, what frist came to mind was "There's no way this game has better roleplaying than Citadel of Sorcery"...hehe
But there is EQ, AoC has like 800 quests, and a bunch of others that prolly have bettter rping.

It doesn't have too much of a steep learning curve like other MMORPGS - however - that is it's downfall. This allows childish players to join - even ones that aren't legally allowed to play, and make the game full of people with a nonsensical attitude.
Plus Jagex has been a complete moron of a company with their updates to the game... Wait.... no.... downdates.

Once you try like any other game out you will realize what a real game is. World of warcraft and guild wars are the best games on the market at this time. Iin fact, almost every game out there is better than runescape ... and I played it for years. SInce they downgraded the game last fall it has nothing to offer.
The title made me laugh. But to answer your question. Hell no!!!!! No way is Runescape the best rpg. Downdates + Lousy customer service + Immature Player Community + Lousy Graphics = worst rpg It was a good game like 2 years ago. But things change.
The option not available in your pole for the most contributing factor to runescapes downfall was the overall bad decsion making of the developers. which I guess everything else falls under that catagory. Jagex continues to make bad decsions regarding their game.. it is like they want to make players suffer not make it fun.. who would want that? The game is a bunch of boring waiting, and when you wait long enough and get to higher levels there is no reward for your efforts.. you feel ripped off instead. mining = hit a rock wait to get ore .. your reward for levels is getting to wait even longer and longer to mine a rock that isn't worth the effort. then at higher levels the rocks take longer to respawn so that in order to get a full load you have to hop to every world in the game. Then there is woodcutting... you spend weeks, months and years on end to be able to chop magic logs .. then it takes 10 min in between each log in order to get one.. more waiting is not challenging .. it is boring. Then take their decsions to make scammers and punk kids moderators so that they can walk around and scam people and mute people they don't like and get away witrh it. Then take a look at their rules.. you have less rules when you go to church than you do on that game.. it is a bit ridiculous. If you can tolerate all of that.. there was the horrible decsions they made to kill player trading, gifting, dueling, and player killing.... After all of that what do you have left? A game that makes you wait for everything to happen... BORING>

On a side note, I was level 123 on Runescape 2 and had one of the first level 100+ in the original Runescape as well as one of the first 99 strength Pures on the original Runescape. Combine that with the 99 Skills on characters, I played that game from when it first came out in late 2001 until last year. I know for a fact it isnt the best RPG, not even close.

For one, I didn't say I do still play it. I have quit except for once every few weeks saying hi to my friends. And I never said that "Everyone" that plays it is childish.

You have got to be kidding me. The graphics are horrible, there isn't any storyline, and there isn't anymore senseless PvP. There are way better games even if they are all more expensive. Stop wasting your time. Runescape is a rip off.
I've played WoW, Guild Wars, and AoC...but I still think that Runescape has one of the best questing out there in mmorpg's. There all different and NONE of them are grinding or fetch quests. It may have crappy graphics, but it still has some very good qualities about it. I was actually thinking of starting to play again in July when to do the graphics update.
