    Thanks for the link We3ster! The audio stinks, but a lot of good info in the clip from what I could hear. I do want my trinket!

    Mmmmm....

    If you were paying attention she clearly states that they're working on adding additional combat animations but they aren't 'ready for prime time' yet.   Also... there aren't much more than 4 moves for any of the other combat types either so not sure what  you're on about.

    If you were paying attention she clearly states that they're working on adding additional combat animations but they aren't 'ready for prime time' yet.   Also... there aren't much more than 4 moves for any of the other combat types either so not sure what  you're on about.

    It isn't a big deal, because combat is a lot more active and requires you to actually be in control of your character (unlike most MMOs), but it does strike me that the animations would look nicer if they were randomised. Especially when they add more.

    Sounds to me like they are dumbing down combat even further by allowing you to just hold down one key and go through all your characters main attack moves as she demonstrated in those one sequences.   I do hope they add more combat moves, because if all you're going to see is the same four moves that would get old rea;lly quick.   Also was it just me or did the MOB's and characters seem out of place with the environment?

    It will probably have the same number of animations as currently for weapon and shield, two weapon and two handed. They don't exactly excite me, but then I don't really notice them in the heat of battle anymore anyway.

    Not sure if holding a key down would be any better or worse than clicking the mouse 4 or 5 times quickly. Might help with RSI.

    Looked fine to me.  Then again you probably don't play DDO so you're not understanding what mobs live where in the Eberon world.
