Max Settings requirements?

I know I saw it on here some where, can someone post a direct link to it?

I want to run it with Direct X10, and at full graphic capability.

Thanks!

Don't know where the link is sry but to run the game as you want to then you are going to need a pretty high-end machine, especially in large battles with many players on screen at once when a fast internet connection will also be an advantage.

GL with that.  Put it this way, the best machine out now cant run AoC in full settings,,unless you are in the most secluded area while standing still lol..  And please dont ask me how I know..Cause I wont be able to give you a honest answer. :P

Umm, don't ask me how I know, but you CAN run AoC on max settings with 60+ frames on an "above average" rig.  Dont have to have a superman rig to do it.  This has "hypothetically" taken place in the most notorious areas with performance issues...

  • It will be even more possible when the quad SLI drivers come out later, if you look at some of the more seasoned posters on the AoC forums, you will see that they have crazy rigs with like Dual 9800 GX and 8GB of RAM along with some wicked processor that I have never heard of.

Its not unheard of, but rare.  I have the same computer as previously mentioned except the second 8800GTX and the 24 inch monitor but I will be doing the EVGA step-up soon so ill get the 9800gx

Okay, the only official requirements are on their FAQ, anything else is speculation. The FAQ entry is here.

1.10 What sort of PC is required to play Age of Conan?

    Required

    OS: Windows Vista/XP

    Processor: 3GHz Pentium IV

    RAM: 1GB RAM

Video Card: Shader Model 2.0 and 128MB ram, nVidia GeForce 6600

    Recommended

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz (E6600) or better

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX or better

    RAM: 2GB or more

    Enhanced for: DirectX 10, 64-bit processors, multi-core

Supports Parental Controls on Windows Vista

So basically, if your PC is way above the recommended config, you should be able to run on max details.

You can't give an honest answer because you don't have one.  Yes, I'm calling you a liar.  AoC's graphics are no Crysis graphics.  Quad SLI with 9800GX2 can run Crysis at max settings with high AA and AF at resolutions better than 1600x1200 at 70+ frames per second.

AoC has good graphics, don't get me wrong.. but you obviously have no idea on the matter.  An 8800 Ultra will run AoC at full settings at a modest framerate.  I have no doubt that the new 9800GX2 will have no problem and it's roughly 30-40% more powerful.

I want to run this at max if possible, here are my specs.

AMD Athalon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.01 GHz

    4 gigs of RAM

    8800 GTS 512

22 inch monitor 3000:1 Contrast (not sure if it's HD or not) 2ms response time.

Will it run max good, or ok with not so good frame rate?

You might be able to.  But, I think you'll be very close if you can't.  Maybe max settings, but not at the desired resolutions.  Pretty nice rig though.
