Hello there. I started playing ROHAN a couple of weeks ago in a Taiwanese server(yeah, I can read Chinese) and found that it is a nice game to play. For the record, I myself have being playing online games since UO, which means I have played a lot of such games since then, including EQ, AO, DAoC, L2, Shadowbane, SWG, CoH, EQII, WoW, VG, and also some free online games(mostly developed by Korean).
I tried several classes: Knight(Human), Healer(Elf), and Dragon Fighter(Dekan). They are all fun to play. Granted that I am still in low levels (each reaches level 20 now), but I think this game has potentials.
However, I must warn that this game is a GRINDER. There are a total of 99 levels and you can imagine how hard it is to reach top level. ROHAN hit Taiwan about a year ago, so I am pretty much late to this game while a lot of players there have already hit high levels.
It is a free online game in Taiwan. I haven't spent a dime to play my characters. However, I myself wish it is a pay game once it hits the U.S. market (yeah, I might play U.S version of the game).

rohan is a great game yea i have enjoyed it alot i played the jp version it is also free. and no i cant read jp but i figured the game out and even though i couldnt read it i still had alot of fun. i stoped playing once they announced a english version.
It will be free to play (with item shop). CB will start in March and will continue for just 1 week, so in April everybody will be able to play.
P2P games are not as good as they're supposed to be (look at TR, it's a complete fiasco) and I don't see why ppl would like to pay real money just to find that out. I won't spend my cash for a game that lacks the right ingredients to keep me hooked for months, so for me this type of game (F2P with item mall) makes more sense. Of course some games are so nerfed that pass a certain level you simply can't avoid not buying from the item shop anymore, but that's a different story...
just wondering...did anyone get the closed beta invite?
i did and i cant wait until the 17th, its gonna rock!
btw, does anyone know if you are able to use the same account you created for closed beta, for open beta, or do you have to make a new account?

I 100% agree with you dragulea. So many people are on the P2P bandwagon because they think they're better, but they really aren't. I've played plenty of P2P games and find them just like the F2P games, so until I find a fun unique game thats P2P I'll stick with the F2P. The thing is their are a ton of good F2P games that are coming out...Epic Warrior, Mabinogi Heroes (hopefully it won't take 7 years to come to the US), Neo Steam, and others that will hopefully give F2P games a run for their money.
yea i got into the beta too and im sure you will log in with your login info for the site. and imo rohan is the best f2p game out there i have played them all and 99% of them feel like they arent done because they lack alot of content that p2p have. woot have somthing to play till WAR comes out /cheer ign Nephren and im going to be playing DF just like i did in jp version see you all in game
I really do like Rohan especially the customization! almost everyone looks different in the game which is a major plus for me! I really hate games that have same armor all around and no one looks different! hopefully this game really breaks through and becomes a game that will start people on the F2P games and get rid of those filthy P2P corporations who swim in your money!

Errr...not quite
The initial options are just a few (nearly not enough to allow players to create uncommon looking toons). Yes, you can further change your character's appearance later on in the game, but for the time being the costs are ridiculously pricy (100 - 400k for a tiny piece of cloth they call "mask"? Come on! A good face & hai rchange could cost you around 1 mil - which is A LOT considering how bad are the crone drops). IMO the only F2P game currently running tat managed to offer full character costumisation is PW (and that alone was not enough to keep me hooked).
The good thing is: Rohan has other cooler features that make playing interesting (like for instance the level/stats refining system, the revenge pk system, balanced overall classes, etc).
well dude hate to burst your bubble but 1 mill in this game is nothing really i played on the jp version and had like 10 mill and was like lvl 20's somthing just from selling items to players <drops> money is really easy to make all you have to do is sell items to players and dont vendor them when your gunna log just set up shop and make money. will say that on there if you do the noob area you could make 250k just from farming it. but playing out side of it gave alot less money but still more then eng version
