CCP and BOB

eveplayer101eveplayer101 Member Posts: 39

A little poll, since i am convinced there are still a number of Dev's/GM's in BOB alliance, reason being, when BOB use exploits, it is okay for them to use, but if the same exploit gets used against BOB, it quickly becomes an exploit and anybody caught at it are banned, hence the poll

Well there you go, the same amount of people don't care as don't think BOB has cheated at all. I guess your part of only like 20%

The funny thing was that when the whole issue arose, it was discovered that Goonswarm alliance had more employees of CCP as members than BoB did.  Who cares if they play their own game.. it's good that they do, as it allows them to actually know what to change and what not to change without breaking the game.

Yes, but no goon dev at the time was caught cheating the T2 lottery, e.g. "T20" who is still currently working for CCP !

    What a useless thread, really.

You know, most people involved in the southern war have long grown up. Blaming CCP for your own incompetence on the battlefield is really immature, and if you do not realize the real causes for your failure, then you will never succeed in this war.
Who cares if t20 gave his alliance a t2 rocket bpc (!) several years ago? Seriously?!

    Holy..did i just defend Bob?

I find myself doing it these days too. Bottom line is, you've got to respect an alliance that can still hold that amount of space, with the amount of people attacking them. I think most people are starting to move on now. Red Alliance up in geminate and the drone regions attacking smaskillatlaincarnate. Morsus mihi went home. Bruce and all them are doing their own thing.  Even the goons are doing other things like ganking miners in high sec. I'm glad everyone is moving on. The universe will be much more interesting. It was gettign tiring reading about the same crap everyday on caod.

Devs imo keep the EvE running with the great wars the participate in or organize without the simple player (client) know about their involvement . They just doing their job manipulate politically / alliance wise / war wise all eve universe to make clients thing they are a part of something original / big etc etc don't let clients get bored without something always going on in eve .

Thats my opinion they try to keep players happy and always busy ;)

And about the BPO distributions we all know how many bob has :) hehhehe ... anyways....

Oh well, I thought they would've cleaned up their act by now. Are they trading very valuable blueprints and giving other advantages as well?

Don't mind playing with devs who are in the game to game, but when they help another team unfairly, to me it's just not a game to pay money on -- especially if they think fun is helping teams attack n00bs in protected zones.

    Time to find another game!

Aslong as the developers are only allowed to play at home with no powers or special accounts then i'm fine with them playing the game.

There may be some in Bob unofficially, but there are almost certainly more in Goonswarm there old enemies.

Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. "640K ought to be enough for anybody" - Bill Gates 1981

Get over it, BOB is now a 2nd rate power, it is like the UK, it used to have an empire but is just now a rump of its former self.

Well, if that were the case, the two big misconduct abuses (that everyone found out about) would never have happened.

More to the point, the original CSM which was supposed to be created for oversite (after the big stink occured), has somehow transformed into a powerless player award program.

The thing that trips my trigger is some players have openly boasted communicating with Devs via MSN (confirmed btw, and "appologized "for), while the rest of us have to go through a mostly canned Petition system, often involving weeks of waiting...

There is no transparency and, as far as we know, no oversight in EVE. Never has been come to think of it, doubt there ever will be.

    Just the sad truth.

Actually, the sad truth is that you are completely ignorant to the fact that CCP put a number of measures in place as a direct result of the fallout to the recent incident to avoid it happening again. You would hope that HR process weed out those who would exploit their knowledge and access, so reaction is allowable if you did have the expectation your employees weren't deviants. But you can't go brandishing pitchforks with your tin foil hats when something does come up, especially when you have no other knowledge, albeit, FACTS about the incident.

There is a governance process in place to prevent this from happening again, but if you want to go sign up to conspiracy theories and the like, then be my guest. But I would direct you to my first post at the top of this page, re the flogging of dead horses.
