Just because....

What the heck, I'm going to be a little off kilter here and ask - has anyone found a game with really good looking guys?  Or any with guys in good looking clothing?  Most the art is aimed for guys but we're getting more and more women in the field.  Has anyone found a game where we can have as much fun looking around as the guys do - well, okay.  I don't want THAT much skin, but some ruggedly handsome or really cute guys would be nice.

Have you tried Cabal?  Probably some of the best models i've seen in a game for both genders.  As far as clothing, most games use what would be considered 'pratical' for job classes, albeit the little horn dog developers don't justify chainmail bikinis for females other than to attract horny teen males that make up most of the gaming population .  With the influx of female gamers would only be fair if male characters had to run around in similar gear (worked for Conan after all).

In a lot of games where the women look the nice, the guys run around so buffed up on armor you can't even tell what kind of build they have, so 'assuming' that because the girls look good the guys will is way off base.

Cabal keeps pissing me off.  If I want to play a female warrior I'm going to be mooned most of the time but the guys start out in short sleeves and thigh length shorts.   Although he did have a fairly nice build and at least you could tell what it was.  Still, at higher level they get all covered with the armour.  Not to mention a lot of the players are,  umm, agressive to say the least.

For more - go to Perfect World - there is an almost unlimited way to change your face and yep - they have a fair amount of hair styles to pick from.
I noticed that my my Elf is not able to have the same side braids as my werefox.

    Deb.

I'll have to look up 2Moons or 9 Dragons, I haven't seen anything on either of those.  I DO like Perfect World.  I've had trouble lately getting on but I'll have to go back to it.  And most of the players seemed nice too.

Solid Snake is pretty rugged and his skin suit doesn't leave much to the imagination.

yes definitely CoX  (City of Heroes, City of Villains)

    also Guild Wars

Lineage 2 looks pretty on the outside, but its a very demanding game.  Its not your typical MMO.  Besides, most of the male characters in Lineage 2 look like girls.

You mean except for all games ever?

Maybe Sword of the New World? Not much variety there though.

Ryzom has the capability to have good-looking males. But the extent of its character appearance customisation means that not all characters you see will fit your definition of attractive. The flip side of this fact is that you can use your five character slots and no-cooldown character deletion to play with the customisation as much as you want, until you find a combination you like. Still, not everyone likes Ryzom's art style, or its four races (none of which are found in any other MMO as such).

Furthermore, you can combine any armour piece with any other - every character can wear all races' armour styles, all weights of armour, all of several colours, and all substyles. The only limiting factor is whether you can find a crafter to make the armour you want or an NPC merchant upon whom a player has placed the desired armour for sale. Or you can embark on the lengthy journey to learn to create the armour yourself.

...The only problem is that Ryzom's servers are all down currently, while the game is undergoing a liquidation and its future is uncertain.

im a hot guy in real life if that counts :)

I dont come with armor though...

I think that the reason they don;t try to hard to impress us girls with their male pixels is that  we don't seem to care as much about what guy pixels look like , we are wayy more likely to want to see what the person looks like for real via pictures cam ect.. so there really isn't all of a need for making the guys pixels appeal to the girls so much.  Though I am less likely to want to get to know some guy who runs around looking like a dwarf or a werewolf or something, probably  awould assume they are a kid and not add them to friends list. Though it would be nice if they made the characters more appealing to women, I think with the numbers of women playing increasing these days that we will see more of this in games soon hopefully.

I have heard some things about Rhyzon and plan to look into it.

I agree we don't care as MUCH about digitalized versions of me, but I'm getting tired at running around in less than threads and then looking at guys runninga round fully clothed (and not even that great looking).

Right at the moment I'm back with LoTRO, which at least puts the ladies in REAL armor!  Yea LotRO!

Anyone else find it ironic that a girl looking for a game with "pretty" male characters is continually referred to a game known as COX?

  • GreenChaosGreenChaos Member Posts: 2,268

I like CoX. I'm loading mine up right now.  Just hope it does crash like it did last night.
