As of 6pm EST on the 28th WAR is still the Bestselling game on Amazon.
Collectors Edition at 80$, wonder how many are left?

not too wake u from your dream but that list contains 100 products and WAR just happens to be on top, but it doesnt mean its the best selling game.. sorry

About to play: Lord of the Rings Online
Played: Anarchy Online (alltime favorite) and lots of f2p titles (honorable mentions: 9Dragons, Martial Heroes, Dekaron, Atlantica Online)
AoC CE is 71 I think, but don't forget it has been out for some time now. It will be interesting to see how fast (and if) the WAR CE sells out and how high it stays rated when there are none left to sell.

The thing is, with MMO's that's usually a meaningless stat. The CE got out a few days ago and ESPECIALLY a CE is only avaliable now till it runs out. Of course it's gonna sell like mad. Heck, people might be stocking them just to ebay the figurines to collectors later.
For the same reason MMO's being on top of the charts during their release month is equally meaningless since that's when they get sold, mostly.

Well, boredom leads people to desperation... And I'm bored to hell from hearing the same old people commenting absolutely everything pertaining to WAR in a negative light...
...to that extent that even being top seller on Amazon you know doesn't really mean anything because you know everybody is a top seller on Amazon and anywayz the people buying it are mostly ebay traders... /sarcasm off (I really should stop that sarcasm thing, I know - it leads me to all sort of trouble.)

$80 bucks for that?? You guys have too much money. I'm looking forward to WAR, but I believe I'll wait and buy the regular package after the reviews come out. Delayed gratification isn't so hard once you practice a bit.
$80 is one tank of gas in my van, which only lasts me a few days.
I'm pretty sure I'll be getting far more value from the CE. For years even.
I preordered mine the collectors edition on amazon.com. I think its great the game has a great amount of preorders :-)

Yes this is a really old topic, but bumping this up seemed better than creating a new one.
Obviously it can't stay there for long. There's a finite number of CE boxes available (55,000), and they're sold out by now in many places. Obviously a good sign of how incredibly popular the game is that it's been in such high demand, though.
There's that and the price. Look at the price for the 3 ahead of it (39.99 and less) vs. $79.99 for the WAR Collectors edition.
I would not worry at all about the game's position on sales lists now. Pre-orders almost always go like this:
WAR is going to sell just fine, and assuming it does not launch concurrent to WotLK, will claim the top spot, in my opinion.
