Depends on what you are looking for. I myself am enjoying the game, but as far as end game is concerned it is still lacking atm. A lot of changes have taken place, and more content and pvp is too come in the near future. So it is your choice. If you where maxed out you might want to hold off another two months so more is put in, if you where not I say sure but be patient for more content to come.
But is the average IQ still that of the Lobotomized CS player? That’s what killed the game for me not so much the lack of content but the type of player TR attracted. and NCsoft basically had a hands off approach to
Not yet, there's still nothing to do when you hit level 50, though they have resolved the cloning problem by putting in grindable respec tokens, and it's much faster to level now due to the increased XP multiplier.
Like many who're still following the game, I'm waiting for the level 50 content.
Yes if you wanna see game one more time before NC decide to turn off servers once and for all. Not gonna happen for a while at least; TR's up to around 130k subscribers and games don't tend to shut down 'til they're under about 15k-20k subs.
I guess it depends on whether you consider end-game content critical or not (for that matter, what qualifies as end-game content?), and whether you can wait for it. Me personally, it's never been important. I've never hit max level in any MMO I've played (although I did get close with MXO), but it depends on what you want. You could always work on one of your clones if you hit 50 and get bored. That could be your end-game content, I suppose, until mechs and player-controlled squads become available.

End-game content is pretty much anything that you can still do once you've reached the max level. Some games put in raiding, some put in complex economic/crafting, some put in PvP.

Its kinda strange for someone to say this after NC official word that this game is financial disaster.
Sorry to say but lets look at the math here shall we? A game that has 150k subs at 15 dollars each month is grossing 2 million 225 thousand dollars. Now take that figure x 12 and their grossing 27 million dollars a year. With these figures I hardly call TR a financial disaster. Could they stand to earn more? Of course, what game couldn't?
The point is companies don't pull a plug on a released game unless the cost of updating development exceeds the profit margin compared to the current subcriptions. Therefore before this becomes an issuse cut backs are made to departments that are no longer required sufficient to develop certain aspects of the game. So hypothically speaking a curent game released would have have to have less than 25k subs, and less than 20 to 30 percent initial staff cut before any kind of shut down is considered. Now ussally if this is even the case the game has already recouped the cost of development, and ussally made 50 percent or more of the expected profits.
Now TR is still what we call in the recouping stage of finacial cost, and the average mmo peak is between 2 to 5 years of maximized profit potenial. So what is most likly going to happen is polishing the product, adding more content, and remarketing the product before the end of the year to establish more customers. Reguardless of the percentage of profit expected to make during it's peak TR WILL recoup the initial cost of development and a considerable amout of profit to be considered a complete loss of investment.
If you have any further questions on financing please feel free to ask since that is what I do!
In the article they simply said TR did not make as much money as they had hopped. But it was far from a disaster though.
Also in that same article it was clearly pointed out alot of the TR was a disaster came strickly from a news post from a news reporter that has misquoted NCSoft many many times in the past. So do a little research before you spout junk saying games are a disaster just because they did not rake in wow size subscription numbers.
Things are happening in TR, updates, new content, and such so it all depends.
If TR continues on its current course and NC doesn't do something dumb like deciding to add an electronic collectable card game, or making it a gear grinder, and you have the patience to wait it out while paying a monthly fee then I would say come on in.
On the other hand progress is slow. For example NC hasn't dropped vehicles, better crafting and better PVP in one big patch, so if you are hoping that it has become a whole new game then you should wait until they add the things you want and then come back.
""But Coyote, you could learn! You only prefer keyboard and mouse because that's all you've ever known!" You might say right before you hug a rainforest and walk in sandals to your drum circle where you're trying to raise group consciousness of ladybugs or whatever it is you dirty goddamn hippies do when you're not busy smoking pot and smelling bad." for all we know they could be working on this ATM and not tell anyone till its ready to be put in the game.
Fault finding is a common ego boosting practice. You put yourself in a position of superiority, in this case, to people that do not share the same opinion as yourself. However, no one here shares your opinions because the rest of us have an IQ above that of a banana slug. Enjoy your repetitive postings and your overall mediocrity.

I share his opinion.
TR had a very good chance to not suck, but the bald-faced truth is that it.. well.. does suck.
I'm sad about that.
I trusted you, Lord British... and look how you repay my trust. With a substandard poopfest of a game that was constructed from the distilled essence of second-hand pox-ridden FAIL.

The facts are some of us enjoy the game, and that's only your opinon.

Not only mine!
Quite a few game reviewing sites gave TR a score of 70% or less, (it's overall average was 79%) and reviewers won't have even played long enough to get to the "bad" part of the game; the level 30+ content and skill system.
I'm glad you enjoy TR, I did too for a while. I don't any more; it's not a good enough game to pay for every month.

Of course it's an ego-boosting practice, that's why I do it. Also for laughs, but some people lack a sense of humor.
I'm not sure why you take such offense to such an obviously ridiculous post, and besides, myself being as smart as a banana slug would mean you're still about two notches below me (for you, mediocrity is something to strive for, I bet) .
Just kidding.
I'm not going to leave those insults there and walk away because that would make me a great bag of douche (or at least, a greater bag than I am now). Honestly, throwing punches anonymously is weak and insulting intelligence is so grade school.
Life's too short to be a prick, so let's grab a pint and forget the whole thing: you forget about my bullshit and stupidity, and I'll forget that I spent $50 on a lousy game and was later pathetically insulted for hating it .

Thats one of the best posts ever, I actually LOLed. Instead of like oh 'loled' it actually forced a laugh out of me, instead of a recognition from my brain to the computer that his post was actually funny.
Anyways, this is kind of a subjective post, every game has it's fans and haters. TR is no different, no one is stupid for liking or disliking a game it's simply what they prefer to play, and as to whether you should or shouldnt come back is all subjective too, if you like the concepts of it they have improved them, or at least tried too.~
I just see the game development got stalled. Only changes and tweaks/balance over already playable content since launch. No end-game, no pvp game, crafting is even more pitiful than at launch. As many (or at least the whole 15 ppl in my clan), I payed my first month and backed off on standby. But I don't see enough new content or changes worth the resub.
Edit: Also, in so little time they've revamped the classes and skills completely. The playstyle was the only thing I really liked from TR. I'm sure they've changed for the good but IMO it wasn't really a priority, and so many continued changes on playgame will only piss off the current players.
