Looking for the right MMORPG
I'm looking for a game that is like EQ and WoW in the respect that it has a ton of quests like WoW and zones/dungeons like EQ. Where there is a bunch of places that people can go to solo or group and get unique items only dropped by a special mob or special area. Basically lots of items in game to try and separate you from everyone else. Sets are fine or piece together is cool too just a lot to chose from will be nice.
Any ideas?

What's your objection to WoW? .. not trying to be sarcastic, just don't wanna suggest another MMO that has the same objectionable element.
Sounds like you want a PVE game.
Based on what you mention I would suggest LOTRO (Lord of the Rings Online). Other options include Vanguard, Final Fantasy XI and Lineage
