As for the OP, I got the PotBS pre-order with all the fluff and the sword I got was replaced in like 5 levels if I remember right. Same with War, its all just noob stuff for the game. So get off your high horse and learn to read and understand things before you go and start saying s*** like this.

There's 40 standard levels which the dev's call 'introductory' levels.   Along with that 40 levels is 100 RvR Ranks basically once you finish the 40 standar levels you have around 60 more levels all through RvR Rank levels which can only be gained through PvP.

Not sure where you've been seeing this lvl 50 stuff I've never seen anyone say level 50.  I've seen people talking about Tier 5 but thats inrelation to the Sieging and not leveling.  There's Tier's 1 through 4 which you gain levels and progress the war effort then Tier 5 is the city sieging stage of the game.  Basicall you only see Tier 5 when your race controls the Tier 4 zone which can see saw back and forth depending on the work of the people in that area.

Anyway sorry for going off topic was just trying to figure out where you were seeing lvl 50..no one who's been following war and all the info would be saying lvl 50 someone who's new and just starting to pick up on the game might.

Honestly, who cares about the extra exp and more quests? They are not going to be giving super leet gear for pre ordering, maybe some useful level 10 stuff but they arent going to give high end epics. And everyone will be level 40 eventually, which is a small level and will take about what it takes to level 70 in wow i am guessing...

lol thanks Greshick but have you considered that maybe that person has not been following the game very long or atleast not very closely.    You can't take everything everyone says as absolute on the forums.  Especially gamer forums since there are roving bands of goons that like to stir the shit pot to see what happens, some people are just misinformed, and others have a bizare gamer political agenda to spread malcontent.  And others just have blundery days of typos or brain failures (has those often herself) hehe

If it is a joke then yes.. yes you have, but if it isn't it can only mean a few things...

    1. The imba/op whiners have been slapped around to the point in their individual games that they decided to get a head start. - Possible

    2. The imba/op whiners are giving one last "hurrah" before curling up and dying, in turn this should lead to a golden age where we all enjoy reasonable discussions that lead to better games for all. - Not Likely

    3. That by purchasing the WAR CE we have brought the end of the world upon us. Aka WE"RE ALL DOOMED! - More likely than #2.

Given that I also purchased the WAR CE then my E-Peen will feel somehow bigger if this is indeed not a joke.

P.S. Incase it is #3. Can I hold Doomkitty?

P.S.S.  It is a sad state of affairs when we get CE imba whining.

    P.P.S.S.  Srsly Doomkitty, hld plx?

I don't really see what the big deal is.  I will admit that I preorderd my CE the second I saw that it was availiable but all of this incentives are just a way of  drawing in preorders.  The quest's main benefits seem to be that that they reward you with unique titles, the heads are purely cosmetic, and I doubt that any of the items will have any profound effect on your performance in the long run.  That being said, I am opposed to any sort of item mall for these sorts of games but allow me to play devil's advocate for moment.  Are players ever on equal footing in MMO's?  I played WoW for years but school and works have always made so that I could usually only play for one or two hours at  time.  My favorite part of MMO's is PvP but in WoW the winner in any PvP was less about whoever was better at then it was about whoever had the best equipment. So anyone that has the time to hit dungeons every night is going to have an advantage over the more casual player.  Hopefully this will be less of an issue in WAR.

I don't think hitting 40 in WAR will take as much effort as hitting 70 in WoW.  From what  read and watched in interviews the city sieges are what WAR is all about and the developers want us get there fairly quickly.

Yeah, the RvR is most definitely the prevailing feature, but that doesn't mean they are going to make lvl'ing in the game as easy as WoW was. I don't think leveling will be like old school EQ, but it definitely won't be WoWish, probably somewhere in between.

The only reason I say that is from my experience w/ DAoC. I know that Mythic is going to great pains to make it known that WAR is NOT DAoC reskinned, and I have no allusions that it is, but I also doubt they are going to totally change their phillosophy from one game to the next. In DAoC the focus was most assuredly on the RvR, but the PvE was by no means easy, boring or empty. I found the PvE content to be just as enjoyable, and deep as the RvR and I expect WAR will be similar. Also, another thing to keep in mind is that there will be RvR for the lower levels as well. In DAoC the RvR content was in smaller battlegrounds (nothing like the "battlegrounds WoW later made (in)famous), that were mainly meant to show you the ropes and prepare you for the larger scale, "endgame" RvR which would be equivalent of WAR's city sieges.

People who get the collectors edition will get bonus XP for certain periods of time, bonus items that give them procs, and ~12 exclusive quests.
What the hell happened to my WAR? This is exactly the kind of crap I'd feared they'd pull. It's completely ridiculous to give players an unfair advantage over the others just because they're willing to plonk down an extra 40$ on the collectors edition. Players should be on a level playing field from day 1. This is just the first step down a path where at the end the elite RvR players won't be those with the most skill, but merely the largest wallets. I've seen this item system in many Asian MMO's, where they have persistant item malls where you can buy bonus items that others cannot for real dollars. I detest this system and I think WAR is just a step away from it. Show Mythic you don't want to deal with this crap in WAR! Do not buy the collectors edition!

They are meaningless items and quests. Talk about blown out of proportion.
