ok so i have have read many complaints about the CE and getting the codes ..I figure i will preorder through the EA store, but i must know one thing.
IS anyone having a problem with anything when pre ordering through the EA store??
I just really don't want to deal with problems when i order things online...

a guildie of mine preordered from EA and got an email saying his codes would arrive later in April. Other than that, he said everything seemed to go smoothly.

I pre-ordered through EA. I received an e-mail letting me know that they would send the Open Beta code out in early April, which is when they plan to begin additional beta activities.
However...
On the EASTORE website they state:
"Your Open Beta code can be found in the pre-order confirmation email or the pre-order code you will receive in an email within 3-10 days after your order is placed."
You can find that text as listed on the EASTORE under WAR: CE item details... item 2 (2nd half of the paragraph).
order form amazon....if they arent sold out!!!

The official word from the EA-Mythic via the Warhammer Herald:
"Where are my codes when I pre-order online?: Each retailer may do it differently, we have no control over the distribution of their codes to pre-order customers. However, you will generally receive a separate email specifically containing your codes (in some cases it can take several days). Please do not contact EA Mythic Customer Support concerning this - you must contact your retailer as we will be unable to assist you further. EAStore.com will not be distributing codes until early April."
That's article 115 from their Herald.
There is information on the other retailers, too, but that's what I was able to find specifically on EA.
I ordered through Amazon and got my codes the same day.

anyone got a clue when the open beta will start for those codes to be useful?
Probably not until Fall...most Open beta's are the last two to 3 weeks before the Live Launch

I ordered from Gamestop online. It took 3-4 days but I got my codes yesterday.
You can enter the open beta access code on the Warhammer beta center website. You will be able to enter the codes for the items and the head start once Mythic gets the account setup page up and running. As for open beta itself there hasn't been any announcement on that. I would guess that they won't know about when open beta won't be announced until they've decided on a definite release date.
