No, you must activate the combo (click it) and do the moves required in order to pull it off, if you do an attack that's not part of the chain the combo will deactivate.
Ofc if u do an attack that's not part of the chain combo it will desactivate... but i mean that if u wana trigger a combo u can do it by clicking the combo icon, thus it shows on the screen the buttons u need, or u can just click these buttons in order without clicking the combo icon, and it will trigger the combo. That's how i see it anyway . Not sure if someone can clarify or not...

yes you can use the 360 controller, its defaults and how it will work are still unknown. Just that it will be supported for the PC version.
