Not only is it the number one selling PC game at the moment, but it is the number one selling game in the US, PERIOD! Age of Conan also is now the number 4 selling PC game out! It is a good day to be an MMO lover!
Super Smash Bros. Brawl’s chart domination in the US has come to an end at the hands of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. More US sales stuff inside...

this is good news game should have a good launch then witch means i'll be really happy
Keep in mind this is for the CE. 60k coppies and if all havent sold yet its pretty hard to find one. Hopefully WAR can stay up there with regular sales now.
It's very difficult to attach any meaningful conclusions to a limited edition release at the time of it's release in contrast to games that are not limited or if they are released at another point in time.
The AoC might be relevant though, when did they start selling it?
This reminds me of what AOL used to claim~ almost half of its total asset: $4.9 billion was made up of 'available-for-sale equity'.
It's painful to me not having a credit card. I'm running around trying to find a game shop where I can buy the game from! But there are only EB Games and Game in a radius of which I can get to without having to pay a fortune for the transport.
EB Games are all like "What? Uh... we don't know... or do we? Oh, come back tomorrow!" and then they'r still like "Oh well, still haven't heard anything... are you sure that .... uh ok well we don't know, come back tomorrow!". Game are kinda the same but I think they will get something untill the 10'th...

And I don't want to hear anything about "I don't believe in vampires" because *I* don't believe in vampires, but I believe in my own two eyes, and what *I* saw is ******* vampires! "
I believe that AoC probably got a bit of a pre-order boost when the WAR delay was announced. I had not planned on playing AoC before, but have gone and pre-ordered it now that I have more time to check it out before WAR.
Funcom doesnt want to be No 1, No 1 games just lure too many jerks (look at wow). I prefer games with fewer, but better players
i dont see the truth behind war only selling 60k copies of collectors edition and being a top seller over smash brothers which has sold millions.... somethins not right there
Although I wouldn't have put it that harshly I do agree with your point
Although I wouldn't have put it that harshly I do agree with your point
What you mean to say is YOU dont want funcom to be number one, as i am sure Funcom would definitely like to be number one!
I don't follow that site. What are they using for source?
Eg. at the bottom of the lists, it says:
Note: Amazon charts are updated hourly
Also of note the AoC codes aren't being released anywhere yet - once they are as the WAR ones you will see the AoC orders likely skyrocket also
I hope WAR is more popular then AoC, that way I don't have to put up with as many brats in AoC
And for those of you that haven't noticed, just because a game is popular doesn't make it a really good game.
Example: World of Warcraft
Don't confuse a players ability, with a class being Over Powered.

And for those of you that haven't noticed, just because you say so, doesn't make it true.
You may not like it, but World of Warcraft is a really good game.
But its great to see both AOC and WAR doing great, we need to see some successful new MMO's launched this year and I'm happy to play whichever one proves to be the most fun.

Those #'s are only for the previous week...since everyone bought Smash Brothers almost-already War only beat it out in sales for that week!

I hate to remind people of this, but when "BC" hit it sold more than 60k in one day. Now, I'm not a WOW fan for those saying the game sucks, that is not entirely true. As Josch and Jeff had mentioned "they do what they do, and they do it well".
I'm not even gonna throw "starcraft in the mix", but will say that title will be one to watch as well for sale numbers.
Nooo Crisis Core is only 9th lol. I love that game but I'm not surprise. Anyways I wasn't expecting WAR to actually do that well in pre-orders alone. I am impressed. Well hopefully this will indicate that WAR will have a healthy community (by healthy I mean a decent number of players, not quality of players) Not too big and not too small. Hopefully the quality of players will be good as well.

AoC was already the best selling PC game in March. The numbers for both games will likely fluctuate as time goes on. Super Smash bros was a behemoth of a game, one I still play nightly, but its been about a month so the hysteria is starting to wind down. I wouldn't be surprised to see AoC pick up more steam, and probably the next WoW expansion to shows its face on these charts a lot closer to the new WAR release schedule.
Either way you look at it, these charts for both games show there is a serious interest in both titles which is good for the genre and us as players.

The game isn't even released yet and people are boasting about pre-order sales ? Anything just to add more hype. Pre-order sales means nothing because from now until the WAR gets release half the people that pre-ordered can easily cancel.
