Hello folks, am in the market for a new video card and found these 2 that are in my price range, just looking to get a little feedback as to which one y'all think is the better card.

I would grab the 8800 for $199 after rebates as I believe it the faster and better performing card of the two and probably worth the extra cost.

I could be wrong here, but pretty sure that the 8800 is your best bet.

And actually, I might save another $20 over that card and grab this one which is only $179.99 after a $30 rebate...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150253

XFX has FANTASTIC support. I have a 6800 card I just sent back to them for replacement that was over heating. I bought it over TWO years ago, and never registered it. No receipt needed. No proof of purchase needed. Pretty much guaranteed for life as long as it has the XFX on it. Pretty amazing customer support and hassle free warranties with XFX. Don't be afraid of them. Good quality and backed up stuff.

Also, the 8800 GT DOES outperform the 9600 GT by more then 50% (33 billion texture fill rate per second for the 8800 GT compared to about 20 billion per second for the 9600 GT)

The 8800gt is quite a bit faster actually and you can find 8800gt's on newegg.com for about $180 after rebates.

    The card,
