L2, Vangaurd, FFXI, or somthing else?
Hey guys i need some help choosing i played Pre-CU swg and have constantly looking for a new game...haven't found one yet obviously...
im am wondering if any of these fall in line with a pre cu style play i doubt any come close and i hate soe to some extent so vanguard has that repelling factor. I don't like how much "porn like" armor there is is Lineage 2 is that really common like every female char wears it? and i heard the FFXI has a terrible community i do have 2 brothers that would probably play with me so we could group so that wouldn't be so bad to grind up lvls...
Crafting would be nice but its not mandatory i really liked the char customization in swg and stayed and play all thru the nge for almost 2-5 months not sure...just cause pvp was kinda fun and i could look cool with all my vet gear...
i played eve a little bit didn't like i like ground play mostly, played a ton of F2P stuff... own guild wars and one expansion...played auto assault for a bit played CoX both for a bit got around lvl 18 in each...then the mission like grind got so boring that i quit...bought Archlord when i came out (yes bought one of the idiots that got riped off..) played TR hated it...played wow hunter to lvl 40 once i got my mount i was kinda bored it was fun when i got together with a group to play but the community kinda killed that (chuck norrcise!!!!!!!oneoneoneone1111eleven much?) in SWG i played a guild of all 20 plus guys when i was like 13 maybe i was a pain to them maybe i just kept quiet i don't know but they seemed to accept me quiet well...
so guys...a little help? as the title says i can pay to play i just don't want to waste 30 bucks to buy the game and hate it...i have done this like 3 times already...

it honestly depends on what your playstyle is and what you want to play
if you want to grind endlessly with nothing but bots but have some fun pvp as endgame play l2
if you want nothing but pvp but like the sci-fi setting play eve
if you want to play a really terrible game but like final fantasy play ff11
vanguard is a good game but it doesn't have the population to make it how it should have been
I say play either eve or lotro till war or aoc come out

FFXI is not terrible in any way, ive played it for yrs, and the community is not bad whatsoever. the game requires u t group grind basicly after 10 so the bad asshats get rejected from linkshells and partys wich having a bad additude at all is a BAD idea, so asshats are very limited. its a very hardcore style game so if u dont have atleast a few or more hrs to play, i wouldnt bother. L2 well i havent tryed it. EQ2 wich i might try again soon (im bored as hell XD) Lotro can kill time for yah if u like more of a story solo-quest game...but after yrs f EQ and FFXI its nowere near what i want, not much grouping or hardcore endgame/grind.
best thing to do is just research what style u enjoy, then ask around.

My personally thoughts is L2 isn't worth it because of the stated reasons above me.
You should try out Eq2, just do the 14 day trial and see what you think. It never hurts, and that's what I am doing as well and I was in similar shoes as you are. Just uninstall it after the 14 days if you don't care for it.
