EVE, FFXI, or Planetside
Hey guys, I'm new here and looking for a game. I was thinking of either EVE, FFXI, or Planetside but if there is a different game you think i would like, feel free to tell me about it. As long as it's not World of Warcraft...
Heres what I like/dislike about the games:
EVE-I've played EvE before but didn't get to into it. I was confused about what to do most of the time. I only played for about a week or two then got bored... but back then i didn't know it was one of the best PvP games and i love PvP.
FFXI-I love the fact of needing to be in a group to level up and I love the Final Fantasy series but I heard that it takes hours to get into a group and there is no PvP (Needing a Group for leveling makes up for no PvP though)
Planetside-This game seems really good. I love FPS's and this game seems like its different from the rest. The only reason i haven't gotten the game is i heard that there is a low population and there are alot of glitchers/hackers.

eve ...its the best game....pretty casual...but if your hardcore go with ff11...
3 completly different games,cant say much except go with the one you feel best playing with.Or just play all 3.Personaly id recommend eve online but it's a personal oppinion,people who like to play WoW will most likely hate eve,in eve you always learn something new,even very old players dont know everything,that's how many complex things you will encounter.
Planetside is nice too,I doubt anyone will get bored of PS fast,expecialy since it's the only mmofps out there atm that is worth playing,it's pretty fun and last year when I played for awhile it didnt have any population issues and I never seen any hackers running around,well the ones who use cheats on the game,ive seen plenty of people hacking vehicle terminals soo I cant get my damn tank
FFXI - never played it ,soo cant recommend it or tell you to stay away,but from what I hear,it's a pretty decent game.
Thanks for the quick responses! Still unsure since all games seem to be good although im leaning more towards Planetside right now. Anyone have any more advice?
yeah ff11 is a great game...i loved my time in it...graphics are a bit dated...nut it still looks great

30mins to an and hour+ at the lower levels....mush less at higher levels
Alright so its between FFXI and Planetside. Anyone have any more advice? Need one more poster to decide..
Planetside is managed by SOE, who are pariah's in the gaming industry for many fans. It also is firmly in a declining state.
FFXI, while aging still has a strong player base (esp overseas) and is more likely to provide a more entertaining experience. (and likely to receive updates)

Depending what you want.
Planetside is far more casual friendly, 30 minutes or 5 hours both can be easily enjoyed and much can be accomplished. The populations are getting kinda low nowadays but there are still great fights to be had on a regular basis(as long as you dont play Vanu as they usually have the lowest pop and cant hold a decent fight as they get easily overrun nowadays).
FFXI Is also fun but only if you have 3-4 hours to put in at a time. From my time in game it took between an hour to two to get a group and then the repetitive EQ style grindfest would begin. It still has its values and is fun but only if you have a large amount of time to sink into it.
Major Edit: I wanted to get final fantasy but i found out there is a wings of the goddess expansion... and i don't want to buy the pack and then the wings of goddess expansion. That would total up to around 40-50 bucks. Since im only trying to find something to play until Age of Conan comes out that seems like a waste. I'm thinking EVE now but i remember how bored i was... i never knew what to do. I also tried the trial of Planetside and I'm not to into the graphics. So what it comes down to is FFXI or EVE. Does anyone know if it is still worth playing FFXI without the wings of goddess expansion (since im only playing 1 month maybe more if i get into it) and does anyone have any more info on EVE?
