Apparently most people xp grind now using a pet while AFK, because it is too friggin boring and long to do legitimately. This is especially bad once you the 50s, as there is little "content" and no one to group with at that point. It is a sad indictment of the game the devs have said "Yes, it's ok to afk grind, go ahead." I defy anyone to to name another game where the devs have said this openly. It is an acknowledgement that the game is no fun until you hit 90 and what little "content" there is can't be done until then. Basically, the game is just plain ruined.
Pre-cu.
No lie
It just defies logic that people try to compare this game to the one that was launched. Talk about a buggy piece o' grindtastic shite at launch.
Originally posted by vickypollard 2. ADK's meant people could buy 10 of them and never have to go to a crafter again and all you have to do to get them is have a account for a year. The game was broken with them because it was bad for traders and made decay useless and Jedi overpowered.
Some people were rich enough to buy that many for an entire suit of RIS or DWB crafted Mando, nobody in their right mind would use it on a daily crafted composite or ubese. I obtained 2 of them and used each of them on a Scythe blade and a legendary LVA (high damage, no special dots) that I soon sold so I could buy a high potency dot LLC I came across.
3. Decay went way tooo fast I never died but in the end I could go through a full set of armor in about 2 days of grinding and it was getting stupid.... don't want it to be removed but just slowed down so it would last me a few weeks.
Two days??? Were you wearing crap armor with small condition points? I remember wearing a set of composite (glove, boot, chest and helmet) that averaged 35K condition and 65-80% resist on average and I fought lots of things, I had to repair it once every two weeks tops (except helmet from pvp which I repaired once every 4-5 days). The condition would go down faster if you fought things like NS Elder or Krayt Ancients (no such thing as Adolescents back then) but still you could go through a suit for under a month and already have made enough credits to buy another.
There was also a decay repair rule to not let any item go below 60% condition or you'll risk high chance of fail on repair.
I am quite interested in how to achieve 90 in that little of time, especially if I can do it while I am at work. Then I can judge the end game content and PvP finally.
Anyways, anyone want to lend a pointer,

I have a Sony access pass for about 3 months or so and SWG happens to be installed on my PC. But I understand where you are coming from, but I'd like to skip over all that mucking about between levels and just see what the end game is like now before SWG is completely gone. (Waits for a Vet to say something about it was gone after CU)

Hooray for paying to *not* play the game!
