Main question for AoC

All games with specific levels so far proven to be garbage. That is why SWG Pre-CU became the best MMORPG quickly. Due to the fact that character development was deeper than in any MMORPG and I did not depend on 20+ people to finish some trials. I know this from experience since I was 2nd Jedi Knight on most populated server, and probably the best player in SWG...Now back to Age of Conan
How deep the chr development will be once you max level in AoC? Will players have the oportunity to go deeper in gaining power or will they be limited and turn into another fruitcake who anyone can replace for siege wars as long as it has decent gear, right build, and listens what it's told?
If anyone got some info from beta or some other source discuss about this issue. Since this is what will be the main aspect that I will look for endgame and any other hardcore player.

They have planed further advancement, but it is on hold. Priority seem to be on community mechanics for now.

But there is hope. The game offers quite some customization. You can build you gear around your playstyle. Gaute said it will be very hard to reach lvl20 in PvP. You can try to be No.1 to reach that level and use your feats. You are able to hunt those who come close to your level and try to keep them down. Just like some people will hunt those close to lvl20 to hinder them to be No.1 (or 2 or 3 or whatever) You can try to be sort of a unique jedi somehow in AoC, or sort of a badass swordmaster.
I am not sure, only beta players know. But it is possible that not everyone will skill the same feats. There is probably a good variety to allow different paths. Since most classes are hybrids there is the chance for some very interessting skilling.
But i think nobody, not even Funcom, really knows how endgame will play out.
