personally I dont see the people waiting for TCoS having too much intreast in WAR or vice versa, other than the fact they are MMo's they dont seem to have to much in common, maybe some will say "they both have pvp" but they both approach this differently,Maybe the people that dont really care what there game is all about may try TCoS as to playing nothing, who knows*shrug*

I think that is way maybe your other thread wont get much love.

If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

If you build it, they will come. Especially in this information day and age. Many people are desperate for a change or an alternative. True, AoC and WAR currently has a bigger fan base thus more hype. But if those 2 fail to deliver, people will leave that game faster than they came to it. We will know when they drop the NDAs and allow Open Beta. Information will travel fast.

The same with Spellborn, if the game delivers, people will flock to it. Lots of people do not know about Spellborn, because there isnt much out there due to its NDA. But once its lifted and open beta starts, Spellborn will grow.

If the game is as good as my sources tell me, they need to lift the NDA 6-8 weeks before release. The earlier they life the NDA, the more time info on the game is allow to spread.

I would say 6 weeks Open beta + 2 weeks NDA lift before open beta + 2 weeks publisher announcement before lifting the NDA . Totaling 8 weeks so at least 2 months.

i've been following this game for some time now, and the guys making it seems to make steady progress, they are in closed beta atm, and what i can assume from reading posts, the game seems ready, they are tweaking and testing. this bunsh seems as far away from the "vanguard" syndrom as you can get. I hope they lift the NDA soon, i want more player input from people who acctually  have tested it.

This game is going to be great  (i hope)

Yep they have just invited a new bunch of testers, which we all hope is for polishing and again you are right they are as far from VG as you could imagine, these guys want a good release with a finished game,to add to this my own personal reason for the reason they dont have an NA release as they will release it when it is ready and not before and not let some publisher force there hand....amen to that.

  • I think that Tcos will make the 2nd quarter release, it just seems very ready unlike AoC. ;)

Oh and Leoj, did you play WoW on silver hand at one point?

No, I didn't sorry.  Never really used Leoj as my MMO name...but its just joel backwards...so i could see it being somewhat common lol.

Hmmmm, sorry, couldn't pass that sarcastic comment.

Maybe i'm wrong here, but, if i'm correct, Europe is above the Middle East (i'm from Egypt by the way), Which is called the 'Middle' 'East', If that's the 'middle' and Europe is 'above' it, then Europe is actually a kind of middle east you know?

Now, why is anything called East or West you ask? well, look at the map, you'll find weird lines, there's one line called GMT, passing by London, anything 'right' to it is called East, anything left is called West, kabeesh?

Again, i might be 100%, 50%, 0% wrong, so correct me please.

    Thanks.

I dont normally troll and never my own thread, but for this I will make an exception.

If I keep going "right" of the "wierd line with GMT"wont I end up to the left of it at some point?does that mean I am east or west?or indeed I have just followed instruction's from someone that has europe in the middle east?

Maybe i'm an idiot, or 'stupid' as you have elegantly put. So correct me Mr. 'I'm Martie, i seem to know everything'!

Daylight, do you even read what others write? i SAID ... 'Again, i might be 100%, 50%, 0% wrong, so correct me please.', AND ... 'then Europe is actually a kind of middle east you know?'. 'Kind of' here indicates a likeness, both are in the middle east, you know ... the word 'middle east' isn't actually a name taken for granted, it's a description of the location of the Arab World to the rest of the map. Actually, not the whole Arab World is called Middle East if you want 'precise' naming. You can say that the Arab Peninsula (sp?) is the Middle East, the African Arab nations are the near east, Afghanistan to Japan are called Far East. There's logic to everything.

So instead of coming out with a useless post both of you, why not try to debate this like adults, and tell me where i'm wrong? or at LEAST bash the guy who started all this as it seems he was more sarcastic than me. Or is there another reason you chose 'me' out of all those comments on the first post about this?

Finally, what's with the 'If I keep going "right" of the "wierd line with GMT"wont I end up to the left of it at some point?does that mean I am east or west?', wasn't i clear? if you go LEFT of the line you're west, is that hard to understand, or are so retarded as to pick the lamest thing to come up with. If i'm indeed wrong, then forgive me, maybe because English isn't my main, i should just explain it in Arabic. I think what i meant was so obvious. Grow up.

Well, TCoS is developed in Holland, and I am from there. I can guarentee that it is western. Maybe even more western then America, but thats just a endless debate.

Anyways,2nd Q, do you believe in it?

I want to believe it m8,with no solid release date or announced open beta if it is q2 it looks like the end of it,but then again you are in a better position to know if it is nearly ready.

I will just keep my fingers crossed.

Yes, seems we're on different tracks here, i'm talking Geographic and you guys are talking Cultural or ... Old World Geographic.

So, as you said, this will turn into endless debate, and will bring on more flamming. Discussion dropped from my side. And sorry for going off-topic.

Ok to stop this thread getting anymore derailed here is a link to what the western world is,

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_world

Now if we can keep on subject,Thatim just asked if people think the game will hit its Q2 release.

I hope that it will but because of no announced open beta and still the chance they can invite more into closed beta I do have my doubts,I want to keep faith that they are just spit polishing now and will announce open beta by the middle of next month,Fingers crossed.

Well, a bit of a cryptic vision..

I hope when they release it when its done. It has great potential, what I read in the dev journals. But Vanguard had the same.

Rumours are that AoC might be facing the same destiny

Well, its nothing to laugh about, but I sort of predicted this a few months ago, and got flamed like hell.

Ah and "what" is "western" then? the "west" part of USA?

Btw... Im gaining interest in this game, its good to see that they decided to wait a bit to polish it, also, it will be great to have a chance in a beta to see the actual state of the game.
