Huxley has been fairly quiet....

so...how is the game going?  i havent read much/seen much forum posts (dont really troll the forum just the homepage).  i am very interested in how this game is coming along.

MMO wish list:

-Changeable worlds
-Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads

    i was excited for this game til i saw the vids looks like unreal tourney just with a 15 dollar a month price tag the pvp looks <Mod edit> at least

    I was just about to post somthing similiar to this.. as I have been trying to find out more about this game but their website has little information.

      Yeah it does look like unreal which is a huge turn off to me.  I'd rather just play unreal

    well from what i read it will be more like planetside style (sort of) but the more details that come out the less i feel like paying a subscription.

    they have not really announced anything that makes me say,

    "Oh! cant wait till we are able to do that"

    or

    " Man if they do this right it will revolutionnize  the world"

    it is simply a FPS MMO similar to planetside mixed with unreal, honestly not worth my 15$

    Oh yeah, i totally forgot about Huxley. What did ever happen to it? lol

    Anyways, i'm not going to get my hopes up as i will probably never see this game in NA just like SUN.

    I heard it was a real FPS and not like planetside at all.  I was so disapointed in PS and the weapons so weak your own team runs in front of you to put there guns right on the enemy to hit them causing you penalty friendly fire points.   What a waste of such large maps.

    Their website still says it's being released in 2007.  It also says a Huxley homepage is coming in the fall of 2007.  I'm guessing this game is on the back burner at this point.

    atm they are doing beta in korea and looking at the game from every angle.. One thing we all have to remind ourselves is that this game is 5 times the work as UT3 was. it takes time.. they main issue is that they shouldent have announced that they were making the game at such an early stage.

    Personally, I do not trust the creators of the game.  Webzen are the same creators as Project Wiki, a game that they haven't even given news about for two years.  I would wrather play another game with a more trust-worthy creater...

    Wow thats kinda silly,  you don't trust a publisher because you haven't found any info about a game that is not released? I have not researched your game (i did look at it, and i wonder how you could possible like that game and huxley) Webzen's launching schedule appears to not list project wiki. So If I were you id forget about that game and move on.(looks like crap anyways) I think webzen is making strides in the mmo world by releasing  very different mmo's and until they do something bad to there CUSTOMERS they are fine with me.

    Wow, congrats on missing my point.

    Couple things-

    They have not updated on that game for 2 years...They could at least say if they stopped.

    Anyways...I am not comparing this game to Project Wiki.  I am just saying the Webzen seems to start working on games then just stop randomy, without giving out other imformation on the game.  I am in no way making a reference between the two games, but stating that the creators are not very trust-worthy. 

    I am just saying that when they stop giving news, it is not a good sign

    I think i got you point since you went to every webzen game's forum to make it. Waiting sucks....get used to it.  Its also really hard to get info about asian games, normally the west just gets the game 4 years later and they pretend its something new.

    You must be pretty  bored...Anyway-

     

    I'm not saying that I can't wait.  I really don't mind waitting, as long as news is given out about the game every now and then.  I don't mind waiting, but at least give us information about the game...Some people have waited for these game a long time.

    As long as they give information about the game, I could care less about how long they work on it.

    EDIT- It's not like I qam bashing the game...It looks pretty interesting and I am probably going to try it out.

    The game is coming along nicely. It's been in closed beta testing in Korea for quite some now. Most information concerning Webzen's games in development is really only centralized around their native territory

    Also, I believe many of you are being much too critical. The game has plenty to offer, and all you've seen is a video or two depicting deathmatch action. Wait until the game is released (late 2008) for your definitive judgement.

    The fact that they are really not trying to generate any attention other then in Korea (maybe) speaks volumes if you ask me.

    What company doesn't want to make money expecially if they believe what they have is something special?  Either the game is a piece of crap (and they know it and are trying to fix it) and will not be due out untill 09 or the Developers and team behind this game are complete idiots.

    Or maybe they are targetting this game for the South Korean population only.. Either way I want to play MMO's because they have a Massive population with people that I can relate to and interact with.  But if Huxley keeps going along the way it is, the only thing Massive about this game will be the Dept the company incurred trying to make it.

    Will this game be instanced or will it be free roaming? Cuz if its instanced I'd rather just play CS or Battlefield.

    Instanced.  It is the only way in order to support a FPS environment and high resolution with the current technology possible.

    Basically it is an MMO in name for use of a Lobby, hosting multiple multi-player battles.

    I tried the Chinese version of Sun The Ultimate Nation and had a little fun but was stuck not knowing what to do ... At least they are a real company unlike certain other "developers" on these forums..

    No official English site though... shame...

    They fail to provide their games over to US and Europe... They're mainly Asian games (ie. SUN).  SUN  actually won several awards over there, it could probably be a pretty good success over here too.

    I guess Wenzens' main priority is Asia.

    I wouldn't be surprised if this game never makes it over here...
