another welcome back week ??

I played for about 2 months back about 6 months ago, and loved DDo, but my computer sucked, when I hit the Giant hold area ( or what ever you call it ) It was just too much on my old computer. You guessed it I got a new one !

WoW was my first, so it was my best. D&D was the only other one I liked, and I played them all.

I'm working a second shift and don't seem to have time to play any, but I loved D&D so much I would like to come back anyway. Any chance of another welcome back week to kick things off !!, I did see on the main site that their was one in march but anymore ?

    I wouldn't be surprised if they do one in May/June with Mod 7's release (monks!).

    While I have a decent video card (ati x1950pro 512mb) my CPU (2.8 p4 prescott) is dated.  I normally play with the graphics turned all the way up although if I'm in some of the outdoor areas like Gianthold I have to turn down a few things.  Turning down draw disctance, all shadows and spectacular lighting helps a lot. 

    For the most part, my machine runs full grpahics in all dungeons without hicups.  I also dont' have a problem with every persistant AoE crowd control spell laid down. 

    I would expect another Welcome Back kinda trial when module 7 comes out.  It's going to be a HUGE thing in terms of overall game play in DDO since it's going to vastly expand the party dynamics and combat encounters. 

    Is anyone NOT going to make a monk?  ;)

    I'll see ya then if not sooner, and I was just gonna ask that same thing, is everyone gonna play a monk ?

    No telling.  I don't know how it's going to fit into my playstyle but I assure you'll try one out for a bit.  This doesn't mean I'll stop playing my main or the Cleric I';m working on though. 

    I honestly have no clue how the MOnk is going to fit into the game.  Wonder if it's going to take the place of a Fighter, Barbarian or Ranger...

    Or all, a Monk really can be built towards Tanking, secondary DPS or a survivability build depends on which route you go. I expect to see them fulfilling a lot of the roles that melee classes normally do in a group.

    And yea, I would probablly expect one with the next mod which will probablly be near the end of the month.
