dastandy1dastandy1 Member Posts: 3

Looking for a live action fantasy type free mmo? Something that has a levelup system and somewhat of contorl over stats and class/skills. Something that uses a combo of keys and mouse not just one or the other. We like some empthasis on graphics but nothing major cuz of her compy. We have tired many games so if anyone can suggest some that we can look into. We would be most greatful. Thanks in advance.

well if you want a good game, lotro... its not free tho..but exceptional fun will be had...

if you arent willing to sacrifice one dinner out to play a game for both of you a month.. then you are destined toplay garbage

    Remember Old School Ultima Online

Could you be more specific about which ones you already played?

I would recommend EverQuest2 or Lord of the Rings Online.

I'd suggest Guild Wars if by "free" you mean no subscription. You'd still have to buy the boxes, and quite honestly getting all of the expansions for two people might be as expensive as a good few months of LOTRO subscription time.

Anyway, Guild Wars or Lord of the Rings.

Guild Wars because of no subscription, a lot of character experimenting through hundreds of skills, and dozens fo class/sub-class combinations, and the ability to augment you and your fiancee's outings with henchmen and heroes.

Lord of the Rings because it isn't that expensive to buy into now, having no expansion as of yet and all. There's the subscription cost, but you're also able to try the week or so trial before determing if you do want to subscribe.

My general advice though would be to play as many free trials as you can with her. And sorry but no advice on absolutely free MMOs.

Holic Online and Dream of Mirror Online are both very cute, fun, and free to play. They're also both pretty casual, though Holic is arguably the more casual of the two. Dream of Mirror Online is a touch more sophisticated with crafting and a fairly extensive class-hybrid system... you can even form a pseudo marriage type relationship with neat little benefits too. Both also have a pretty low overhead, and should run fine even on older machines.
