Why do people do it?

in Everquest II
lately in the official site there have been alot of kissing as*s posts which try to kiss up to forum mods like" faarwolf is my hero" or "moorgard is the man" or" faarwolf t-shirts", what the heck is wrong with people?  They won't get into beta any faster so why do it?image

    Beats me but they do it on the bnet forums for WoW also.... when kat was there theyd kiss ass everytime she did a posting session....it sickens me to death lol....

    I think it's because Faarwolf and Morgaard fought for us in the "international server" battle. It' was those 2 who contacted SOE marketing team, and told them how bad idea "lokalized servers" was.

    SOE workers are doing a tremendous job for us and I do not see why we wouldn't congratulate them.

    yes i admit that this post it pretty much useless but am at work and pretty bored, also if you analyze the majority of posts here are either redundant(any beta post) or idiotic(look at my cool sig) therefore my post is no more moronic than the rest.image

    actually supposed to be off on weekends so all i need to do is sit at my desk, and since this pc has a crappy vid card net surfing or reading a book is all there is to do.

    not bad for 15 bucks and hour for a studentimage

    People will do just about anything to get what they want, and if it includes brown-nosing, well...then you will see a lot of it.  Especially when it comes to a younger audience because they see a lot of it on T.V.

    Those that do do this are probably noted, and wont recieve the beta.  But, only good can come to those who wait! (and trust me, my fiance is pure proof of this!)

    Tell me, do you have a job?  Does anyone from SOE ever call you up and congratulate you on how well you're doing it?

    I know many SOE testers and programmers. No one ever congradulates them unless they are exceptionally good at what they do. You won't be congradulated if your OK, Descent, and just plain good. You need to be a cut above all that and better then 99% of your collegues to be congradualted for anything at SOE.

    i am all for praise when it's warranted, but when it becomes repetative(like it is in the official forums) it becomes something else entirely.image
