I know its not that wonderful.... and Vista sucks in general.... but which games is it ok for? I don't wanna go downloading stuff and then finding out it lags like crazy.
It's got 1GB of ram, an Intel core 2 Duo processor 1.73ghz, A horrendously intergrated graphics card, ATI Radeon Xpress 200m. I'm running a Vista 32 bit system...
How lame is it then? Pray do inform me.

you have a notebook? I think that ATI 200 is a 256mb and takes it from your ram.Note books are allways a bit weard but I think you will be ok with settings turned down a bit and be able to play most games ok that are DX9 only.your shader i think is allso a 2.0 so look for that on the games you plan to play allso.
it really depends on what your buss speeds are when working with low MB gear.you need to give more info. I think your card is around 300 MHz/core speed/bus and if it is, that will effect you.
if anything id see if you can get in more ram, your x200 is sucking 256 and vista is using some allso. So your left with around 600mb,I think your ok with 1 more gig, your not great but you will live. and Vista is fine for most things,.Alot of ATI cards are getting better frames in XP but its just the drivers,.vista will mature.
if you have a notebook, witch I think you do.I know nothing about them to be honest but see if theres a AGP or a PCI-e slot.if there is go get a new video card, get a new 256 if your bugit is low an make sure its core speed/buss speed what ever its called is 500+ hell a 128 with a 500+ buss would be better.
if anything its your bus speed that will be the main thing that slows your rig down.
First if it a notebook you cant get another 3d card and 1gb of ram with vista really suck because when i tried vista and start my pc without nay program only the vista itself i had 725mb aprox already taken so....... Sorry to say but with onboard card there is not much you can do so if this is not a notebook go buy a card even a cheap card will be better.
