Thanks End. Other people let their inner smartass out too quickly these days by attacking things they don't get. This was just a heads up for those who read GI and hadn't looked at the May edition yet.

My local Wal-Mart also has AoC releasing on the 20th on their "what's coming" sign in electronics.  May 20th is a pretty solid date.

Soon all the doomsayers will be gone as Age of Conan releases.  Then those that have said it will fail shall slip into the void and never be heard from again ...

If only it were true.  You'll still hear from them, the only difference being them changing their colors on you.

Where once was Doom and Gloom will be replaced by Glee and Fanboy-ism.  The only solace I have is that I'll be playing the game instead of reading any boards and thus can hope to avoid them lest of course they cross me in the actual game where I will shortly behead them with extreme prejudice.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

My subscription actually died a year ago and I resubscribed and this was the first issue I got.  Haven't even had the chance to look through it!  Thanks for telling me, you have given me an incentive.

I just remembered uh that Clan of Conan deal, where you sign up for the newsletter and you get to meet King Conan and get free virtual item. Is that still legit? Seems like it was forgotten with all the pre-ordering regular and CE. Whatever, I still want my drinking cape!

    sorry to be off topic

Nice prediction there. May I offer another ? The game tanks. Funcom provide they usual "successful" launches. PvE is just like WoW, linear where you try to get the best items before the next patch and new items. PvP is unfinished, unbalanced and full of 80's griefing because...well they can.

Glee and Fanboy-ism turn to Doom, Gloom and Ruin.

The truth however will lie in between :)
