Namely Siege warfare, like what Warhammer is promising. Big battles and little or no grind. I love sci-fi, so I'd prefer any sci-fi game to a medival. P2P or F2P are both fine.
Well it's hard to find a game with good siege battles that doesn't require grinding really, I can't think of anything off the top of my head with that, but if you want pretty good PvP with no grinding Guild Wars is the best I can think of. DAoC has the siege battles but the population has dropped (sadly) but I heard Thidranki is still pretty good, and the Fronteir fighting is still pretty active.
Sorry I'm not much of an expert lol.
-------------------------------------- A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"

Well since your playing eve online already,I dont have any other sugestions to a nice no grind pvp mmo, better yet ... I dont know any good sci-fi mmogs except for eve.
definitely check out Requiem. it isnt anything special, but i found the PvP extremely fun. the max PvP battle is 64v64 which i think is insane. the one that i played, in closed beta, was only 32v32 which was still excellent. its just your traditional PvP but certainly fun. check it out, open beta starts some time this month AND itll be F2P
I read you love PvP so here are two pure PvP games. Both pretty good games, but they aren't typical MMORPGs. They are more like FPS games with great RPG elements such as levels skills and armours.
Rakion Choas Force: Is a great game where you go in a arena with other players when you kill someone you get EXP. You can also do missions as a team. I really love those missions. One bad point about this game is that the server can be pretty laggy.
Fury: A game with great graphics. Didn't played it myself but it looks pretty awesome many skill. Nice enviremonts etc... Give it a try i would say !

Order of the White Border.
Age of Conan is a lot of siege fighting, comes out in a month. So, I'd look at that if you like that stuff.
