Just picked it up. My 2 cents so far

I've never got in to tabula rasa nor interested, but ever since my account got hacked in WoW (due to some dodgy addon i downloaded from curse) I decided to look around for another mmorpg, i suppose it was long over due.

Registered 2 days ago, and so far I am having plenty of fun! Very much different from other mmorpgs, almost has an Gears of War feel to it. Even grinding in combat is never boring, you have to constantly take cover from all the random bullets flying towards you, keeping the combat from getting dull. A nice balance between machine gun and normal rifle is required, as bullets are expensive.

while the game does seem slightly unpolished (swimming animation looks way to fast, when I jump sometimes i get stuck in mid air for half a second) the movement is fluid. In the 2 days here I have recieved in game mail from "HQ" about bugs being fixed and general updates, which makes me feel the Devs are very close to the game.

The game economy at the moment seems really unstable, with a large variation in price, which really keeps me from going in to crafting seriously. Also the stats and classes seems really unbalanced at the moment. (I was adviced to put all my points on Body) Another negative point for the game so far is there apparently there are no end game content still? (according to older players)

Regarding performance, my slightly above average computer can run the game on "Maximum" setting at 1280 x 1024 fluidly with stunning graphical effects. fps stays are around 50-60 until i see an odd flame or object at which point it drops to 30, playable even at the min fps.

If the devs keep working on the game with promised end game content and plenty of class and stats balancing adjustment, I think this game would def keep me away from WoW until AoC comes out(no promises on that game yet).

My Comp Specs (if anyone wants to compare)

Intel core2 E6750 @3.0Ghz

Ram 2GB DDR2 5-5-5-15: 800Mhz: D Channelled

Nvidia Geforce 8800GT 256Mb (600:1600)

500GB 7200RPM Hdd

Forgot to mention, I picked up my game from Amazon.co.uk from an offsite seller for £4.00 (brand new and sealed), got it next day via 1st class, def recommended.

You are correct that TR is very different from a lot of MMOs out there, mainly because of the Sci-Fi genre.  This is a good thing and a bad thing depending on what you are searching for in MMOs.  Personally, I don't like TR at all.  However, I can appreciate the fact that it is a bit different then your WoW cookie cutters.  Even though it is still very based off WoW in some aspects.

Pros = No orcs n elves! "Short" grind. Unique/fun combat.

Cons = VERY buggy. No end-game. Shallow and economy sucks.

I enjoyed my first few weeks in the game back at release. But I stopped having fun in my teens when those class/stat/crafting/economy problems became too glaring to ignore.

It's a bit disappointing that new players, now, are still seeing these kinds of problems.
