Respecs in WoW

erikk3189erikk3189 Member Posts: 306

Hey Guys,

I'm posting here because its faster getting responses then in the WoW forums.

I just returned to WoW after nearly 3 years of absence and I feel like a total noobie not knowing many things. Or should I say, not remembering certain things.

Now, in the time I was away I know they gave out respecs for you to change your skills. I just checked and all my points on my skills were wipred clean and everything is on zero (0). But I do have the points there to use in any skills I want.

My main is a level 60 Druid on Firetree server. Now, once I use the points to bring my skills back up do I get anymore respecs to change them and re-do my skills again?

I have many more questions while I get reacclamated to the game again but for now this is the most important one.

THank You for any help provided.

You will have to pay to respec in the future,I think it is 5g for the 1st time 10g for 2nd and so on,If you dont respec for a while I think it goes back down to 5g for respec,You do the respecs at your trainer.

Edit,For future posts mate you would be best to post in the WoW section of the forums.

If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

You can actually reset your talent tree points any time you WANT.  It just costs gold.  It costs 1g the first time, 5g the second and I believe 15g thereafter.

When BC was released, I believe, we all had a talent wipe and were able to respec for free.  So everyone got to do that once for free, but you CAN do it any time you like, just return to your trainer and tell them you want to "unlearn" your talents, pay the nominal "fee", and place them all again.

    Oh and....

    Welcome back!

It caps at 50g.  I know many rogues that will spec PvE for raids Monday night - Thursday and then spec for PvP for for the weekends for bonus honor.  Then Monday night just before their raid, we'll respec back PvE.  On and on, 50g at a time.  Saying that, you make so much gold at 70, respeccing fees of 100g a week are nothing.

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware

"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

Thanks for the the help, guys.

Since I see guys are throwing gold around then it means there's money to be made. One of the things I didnt like back then was you didn't make any real money on quests as some games do. This is one thing SWG had that everyone loved, missions paid good money. I hope they've changed things around so you actually make money on quests and loot drops.

Oh...you still don't make much money in the "old world", but once you get to Outlands at lvl 58.....money does almost grow on trees, so worry thou not!  =D

Yeah, once you get to Outland, gold will not be a problem. You can loot trash and sell it for lots, and the quests award much as well.

Welcome Back by the way =)

He he .. wait until you hit 70 and daily quests will reward ~10g ... :)

OTOH, things are also getting expensive.

Oh yes, indeed that's true, the dailies at lvl 70 add up to LOTS of gold daily, for sure.  However....if you're in a large raid guild, as I am, your repair bills on high end epics are a bit on the painful side, plus, if you don't know a jewelcrafter and have your own miner.....the cost of socket gems for all that great gear can be a bit daunting sometimes too.  Of course, there are those great epic gem drops in heroics and off world bosses.  =D

One way or the other, endgame has oodles more opportunity for earning gold and....for spending it as well.

    w00t! :D

You can respec as many times you want but be wary that the price increases everytime.
