Gladiatorial Pitt Fights?

In some of the older footage, there are scenes where two opponents seem to be going at it in an areena, people watching them. I've always loved the idea of 'Prize Fighting' in an MMORPG and I'd love if AoC used an Oblivion style gladiator match system where people could watch fights and bet or participate in tournaments and small prize fights for pay or cool items.
Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.

same! i love that style were ppl watch u in an arena. they should implement that
It would be cool if there was cheating sort of too like do what ever to takes to get the fans going for example after a battle both men are tired then throw in another stronger guy against the winner just to get the fans riled up. Like in real life and in the e.g. given oblivion where they pulled fighters and through mages in at the last minutes and a team of slaves fighting for freedom kind of thing
Given the title, I thought this was going to be about Fight Club.
...anyhoo I thought it was pretty well to the point...
... I love events that others can watch in game too. I loved Guild Wars because anyone can opt to watch PVP matches which was cool... so I thought 'Hey people LOVE to get a chance to be a star... so let them entertain people, since this is an adult game feel free to gamble on the fights...

It's possibly a quest, but hopefully a repeatable one so you could 'practice' in it. That would be fun.
I think gladiators would be a great addition to the Conan world.
The winner would take a set portion of gold, and that portion would increase based on how many bet on him.
It would be good for PvP practice, but it would actually be PvP as well because the loser would, well... die.
