Can't really blame them. 15k beta keys going out and everyone is grumpy because they have not gotten one yet. They are just trying to contain it all. IMHO, it is past time they lift the NDA. This is going to be one wild ride weekend.

Since I'm not in beta, but hypothetically if I were, I might mention how upset the tech testers would be if they found out that they aren't invited to the pvp weekend. But im not, so im just speculating.
Whose to say tech testers havent done this kinda thing before though /shrug
I'm holding out for a CE buddy key from you at release. That is all I can say at this point.

I haven't even activated my AoC forum account yet and I got a GS key. I was surprized cause I'm not even a part of the AoC community. Sorry guys but I'm sure the powers that be will make it right.
Same here. I open up MMORPG forums, make a new tab, hit home to yahoo, look to see for a key, see none, whimper a little bit, go back to forums and repeat.

Gamespot hosted this event, they picked the winners from submissions to their site. YOu could have been registered on the AoC Forums for years and it would not have made a difference.

One of the few things i learned over the years is to not vistit official forums while the game is in development.

Well overall things do seem a bit out of wack.
I was invited and participated in the last techtest. My access to the private beta forums remains open, I have the game installed and it still gets the newest patches. You'd think I'd be seeing something come my way that would signal what's next, but not a word.
I'm sure they have logic in how they're doing things, just can't say that I see it.
I guess it's a toss up between thought police and dealing with hate filled shills. Neither prospect is appealing to me...guess that's why WAR refuses to have official forums.
That's one of the main reasons I try to avoid any kind of official forums like the plague as soon as a game is released, with the only exception being the tech forum. Anyway 90% of all posts on an official forum is from whiners and people whose only intention is to disrupt any serious and constructive discussion. And my time is too precious to be bothered by that when I could spend that time with either playing the game or doing something else
