recieved this in my inbox recenty this evening......talks about pre ordering,and gettin in 3 days early and stuff like that. Also says that release is may 20...i would of thought if they were gonna delay realese again they would not send a newsletter stating realese was still may 20 this late in the game...so is it written in stone now the may 20 release?

I would very very much doubt they will delay now,A shame though as when I seen the funcom in my mailbox I thought I had got into the pvp test....hehe funcom does like to test us...anyway OP I cant see them delaying now.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

Yes but nothing was mentioned about that, only the proof of the doomsayers was called into question.
It would seem odd for them at this stage to release a newsletter stating game would be released on may 20 with pre orders getting access on may 17,,and then to delay, doesnt make sense.
I can't wait for May 20th. The sounds of crying fans everywhere will comfort me.
It looks like it's going to be May 20th no matter what. I was sort of struck by the line that said we should all pre-order so they can configure their systems to handle the trafffic. Well I'll be glad to do that as soon as they lift the NDA and I get a chance to try the game. If this game is half as good as the hype I'll be glad to support it but I'm not gettin stuck with another vanguard.
One thing that bugs me. To get the early access you must pre-order. Cool thats fine. OOOO I gotta pay $5 for 3 days early access? So wait. There is no open beta from the looks of it. The NDA is still up. So other than beta testers no one knows how the game really is, or what state it is in. So you want me to pre-order the game AND pay $5 more for 3 days. Which assuming the monthly fee is 14.99 doesnt make sense.
I'm not trying to be a doomspeaker by any means. I hope all the new MMO's do well. The market could use some healthy competition. But the lack of info (all you who are in love with the game can say there is plenty of info all you want, imo there isnt nearly enough), the fact that they are going to charge $5 for 3 day early access (unless I am misreading something) when 3 days isnt a third of a month, but at 14.99 the price is a third of a months worth of gaming, and no open beta I'm sorry but Funcom is handling this poorly.
Now I guess the early access option is nice for thoes wanting to try this game as soon as possible, god knows I'm the same with WAR but all concidered it sounds fishy. GL to all of you though and maybe I will see you in another couple months after I see what people are saying about the game AFTER launch.
Damn didnt know Europe was the 23rd, so its not a simultaneous worldwide start for all. Oh well back to being treated by 3rd class citizen even by European developers.
So i guess the game will go gold in 2 weeks time with open beta in maybe 1 -2 weeks.
