I Have spoken to a few girls that frequent this forum, i think the numbers of us girl gamers is wayy under estimated by alot of the guys here and hope that the girls actually post here.

I am not a female gamer, but my girlfriend is. She doesn't post here on mmorpg.com though. Whats funny is when we play a MMO together and choose the opposite gender character.

Not bad, looks like we've got about 11 women already.
I look pretty much like I do on the picture, although now I got a big iron thing in my mouth to "organize" them, and it's quite visible with closed mouth too. And as you may see on the picture I don't look very female, and neither am I that.

There is a good population of females on this site more than one would think. Its nice to see women enjoying themselves with mmorpgs. Instead of the typical women "why are you playing this game?"
well there's a hell lot more female gamers since the turn of the century i've noticed as well as the acceptance of female gamers. i hope the #s continue to increase in the 2010 decade.

The girl gamer population is definitly growing. However, this may not be the best forum to gauge their numbers. try visiting a girl gamer specific site and see how many active posters there are. Or set up the poll there

Tbh ive never met a gamer girl in the flesh.And im doubtfull there are alot of female gamers out there,probably only 10% of the gamer community.Girls like to go shooping at malls or gather and gossip and backstab eachother etc.

My sister would contribute to this. There are a whole lot of female gamer girls and a lot that are not even open on telling. Something in my soul tells me there may be more Console gamer girls than PC gamer girls, but it could be evened out. That would be something good to make a study on. I got a lot of female gamer friends (and I mean actual friend, not buddy list stuff), but you know when you look good like Rikimaru you get that sort of thing...
Nah it's not about looks. It's all about the game. Play the game and play fair.

I know a LOT of female gamers. My ex-wife is a gamer, my current GF is a gamer.
Lots of members in my current guild are female, and in most of the guilds I've been in.
And by the way, I only join guilds who use voice chat. Not so I can see who's really female, mind you, but for the advantages that voice chat provides.
Some of these ladies are DAMN hot too.
I am a female gamer. But I have to confess that I usually make a male character online to stay away from the harassment. And I learned to NEVER use voice chat in game.

tbh I know female gamers, but they're either all in relationships or too interested in games to be in one. Oh well such is life.
