Lost Crusade questions

erikk3189erikk3189 Member Posts: 306

One of the reasons I left WoW was once you got to the mid 50's there weren't any quests to do except dungeons and I was sick of them. First, you needed a group which was time consuming besides many players like to solo and you can't solo a dungeon.

Now, the Last Crusade I believe was made for levels 60-70. So my questions are:

1. Where do you enter the last crusade?

2. In order to enter this zone do you need some sort of quest that takes you there or can you just enter it like the other zones?

3. Is this another dungeon type thing or can a level 60  be able to get missions and solo once there?

And anything I should know about going there? In the Alliance, once at the lost crusade, where would I need to go to?

THanks again for any help.

First off, it's the Burning Crusade, not the Last.

Go to the Blasted Lands in the Eastern Kingdom, all the way south. The Dark Portal is there. You have to be minimum level 58 to get in. Once you go through it there will be an Alliance/Horde questgiver who directs you further. You can solo quest all the way to 70, but the instances are worth doing for gear.

Outlands is hard. You WILL die. Get used to it.

    Mid 50's and no quests?

heres a list of zones for lvl 55-60
    • The eastern plague lands
    • The burning steps
    • Wintersprings
    • Silithus

Also dont forget the TBC is an expansion so you need to buy it before you can enter the portal.

I'm sorry, the Last Crusade is only playable if your name is Indiana Jones.  But, if you want to play the Burning Crusade, you are in luck!

First off let me ask you, why in the world did you stop at the mid 50's?  You were only about 5 levels from the cap.

    1)  The dark portal in the blasted lands.

    2)  Only requirement to enter is to have the expansion installed and be level 58.  Although I suggest getting to 60 before entering.

    3)  There are over 20 new instances in TBC, and tons of new quests, including daily quests.  You will have plenty to do.

    4)  Alliance go to Honor Hold, but don't worry, you will fly there after entering the portal.

If you want to start a fresh character, the Burning Crusade also has level 1-20 content for both Alliance (Draenei) and Horde (Blood Elf).

So, which is it? Last Crusade or Lost Crusade?

I would just like to point out one more small detail and that is that there is no minimum level requirement to be in Outlands, the level requirement of 58 is only to go thru the portal.  You can however group with a mage who can create a portal to Shattrath and you can take that portal no matter what level you are.  I always do this for my low level characters and I then set my hearth stone to the Inn in Shattrath.  What's the advantage of doing this?  The advantage is that Shattrath has portals to all the major cities, so I can easily get to any major city by simply hearthing back to Shattrath first.  This will save you a lot of time traveling from one major city to the next if they happen to be on different continents.  Now there's not really much you can do in Outlands until you are about 58 except use the portals, but you can look around Shattrath and see what it's like and hob nob with the lvl 70's if that's something you would like to do.  If you think Iron Forge or Stormwind seem a little deserted, get someone to give you a portal to Shattrath.  I think you'll be pleasently surprised.  Just remember to visit the inn and set your hearth stone there so you can get back anytime you want.

    Thanks for the replys, guys.

I am a level 60 Druid. But it's so strange I really though I was in the mid 50's coming back after being away for nearly 3 yrs.  I had forgotten what level I was, unless someone played my Druid while I was away.

But one thing I didn't forget was not having any solo quests to do once I got to the mid 50's back then. This was one reason I left the game. Another was the you barely made any gold as missions didn't pay anything worthwhile.

I believe I heard someone say the mounts at level 40 have now been reduced to 10g instead of the old 80-100g back then. This is good news for players wanting to get one. But I still don't see the logic in making players wait til they hit level 40 to acquire a mount. It makes no sense to me.

    Thanks again
