He goes into the middle of the lot where he can't be seen by any passing motorist ( mainly worried about police ), and chooses a nice 5 foot pine tree. He cuts as fast as possible through the trunk, taking about 10-15 minutes. He then heads home, walking down the sidewalk at around 2:30 a.m., placing the tree on the grass strip on the edge of the sidewalk and squatting behind it whenever he sees headlights coming.
At around 3 a.m., our young Zorvan carries the tree into their house, and smiles when he sees his grandmothers' face light up brighter than that tree ever would.
The Court denies summary judgment against NPCube in the case brought by VWORLD for counterfeiting of its video sequences:

- it rules that the evidence brought forward by VWORLD is insufficient for summary judgment to be granted against NPCube
- it rules that three companies have a vested interest in the promotion of the Dark and Light MMORPG: the French company NPCube, developer of Dark and Light, the Chinese company SnailGame, its partner , and the Mauritian company Farlan Entertainment, publisher of Dark and Light.
Consequently the decision on this pirating of video sequences will be taken upon examination of the substance of the case brought by VWORLD before the Paris Court against NPCube, Farlan and M. César Jacquet for software counterfeit, non-respect of the right to credit and paternity, and finally unfair competition and parasitism: the date of final hearing being scheduled on October 2nd, 2008.

The EURO affiliates should be getting their news shortly thereafter. Snailgames may have alot of explaining to do. May be fine in China , but in US/EURO, stolen property is a HUGE misstep.

In playing this game you are on the side of shady developers who have ripped-off customers with unauthorized credit card charges and are now in court for copyright infrigement.
The MMORPG community has ONE way to truly make their voices heard - by deciding which games they play. Forums, articles and emails can be ignored by developers, raw player numbers on servers cannot. Farlan needs to be shown that the MMORPG community will not stand for their type of behavior.
The excuse of 'Well, I just like the game, who cares about the devs' is what allowed this kind of fiasco in the MMORPG industry. As long as there are people who ignore the way developers behave, they will continue to think they can get away with anything.

Well i have not played it since i posted my reply above but not because of what is happening in the background but because of other commitments and just because i was playing does not mean i was on the so called shady developers side i was unaware of the whole story and thought that the whole court case was based on some people being charged for the game after they had canceled subs not that they had stolen some guys game engine or whatever it is that this is all about and im not going to pretend to care or know what is happening as it has nothing to do with me it is very unfortunate that this is happening and i do wish the best of luck to those that have been burnt in this process but i guess it just goes to show what i guess some people in the world are like.
I play it because i feel like playing it not because i am on anybody's side but merely for my own enjoyment and that's how i have always been if i like something i do it if not then i move on and im sure soon enough i will have no choice but to move on but until then i will dable in this game if i have the chance and time.

LMAO I hear ya Pix! Problem is, even with DNL 2 (cough, ahem, cough) unless you are a resident of China, who the heck cares about it?!?!? It will never hit the states nor euro in any important fashion.
The idea is grand, the execution is impossible but Farlan will continue to brand a Flight Simulation game as the next wonder of the mmo world. All the while, the gamebox, gameboy, XBox, PSP and PS1,2,3 all have basically a much better and playable Flight Simulation, Snowboarding and even parachuting games that you can play by yourself already. Nothing new, nothing different there.
Either way you look at it, with the court problems Farlan is facing and the futile legal defense they are mired in, and have already been proven in a legal setting to have been found guilty, the icing on the Farlan cake is in October. If they come out with a DNL 2 (cough, ahem, cough) by then, the game and the company will STILL be mired in legal actions.
Grandstanding an old-hat simulation game in which stolen tech and deceitful devs started it all, along with playable in only one country that only they can play (and btw, has world wide attention now on the crapazz products they are releasing worldwide) is NOT something to sing about.
Wait, maybe it is.......I am sure the mmo industry can come up with a little ditty about Farlan and this hilarious scene they have managed to show off to the world. Oh yes, let's not forget that they also released a buggy piece of garbage game after ridiculously hyping it as the next huge thing in the MMORPG genre. While that's not a crime, it's also something that shouldn't be supported by giving them players.
Well i have not played it since i posted my reply above but not because of what is happening in the background but because of other commitments and just because i was playing does not mean i was on the so called shady developers side i was unaware of the whole story and thought that the whole court case was based on some people being charged for the game after they had canceled subs not that they had stolen some guys game engine or whatever it is that this is all about and im not going to pretend to care or know what is happening as it has nothing to do with me it is very unfortunate that this is happening and i do wish the best of luck to those that have been burnt in this process but i guess it just goes to show what i guess some people in the world are like.I play it because i feel like playing it not because i am on anybody's side but merely for my own enjoyment and that's how i have always been if i like something i do it if not then i move on and im sure soon enough i will have no choice but to move on but until then i will dable in this game if i have the chance and time.
Told you. Once the court seen the antics of Farlan/NPcube in regards to the other suit, the possibility of obtaining further indulgences from the court in the matter at hand would be next to impossible. Courts hate to be played with. Looks like Farlan/NPcube are finding that out now.

Yep, they angered the courts for sure, but any idiot could of seen that coming with their antics. What kills me is the attorney on their side. Isnt he worried about his rep with the courts too? I mean grabbing money from people stupid enough to throw it at you, knowing your client aint got a shot in hell is one thing, but I'm just not too sure I would've wanted to show my face in front of the judge....just in case there is a REAL case that my own integrity would play a part in. It would appear that French attorneys are very much like some our own American lawyers lol.
I would imagine the US/EURO is starting thier own research into this by now or at least have it planned. Would be funny as hell to see them slam this all back at Farland just when Farlan thinks they have done what they needed to lolol

LMAO I hear ya Pix! Problem is, even with DNL 2 (cough, ahem, cough) unless you are a resident of China, who the heck cares about it?!?!? It will never hit the states nor euro in any important fashion.
The idea is grand, the execution is impossible but Farlan will continue to brand a Flight Simulation game as the next wonder of the mmo world. All the while, the gamebox, gameboy, XBox, PSP and PS1,2,3 all have basically a much better and playable Flight Simulation, Snowboarding and even parachuting games that you can play by yourself already. Nothing new, nothing different there.
Either way you look at it, with the court problems Farlan is facing and the futile legal defense they are mired in, and have already been proven in a legal setting to have been found guilty, the icing on the Farlan cake is in October. If they come out with a DNL 2 (cough, ahem, cough) by then, the game and the company will STILL be mired in legal actions.
Grandstanding an old-hat simulation game in which stolen tech and deceitful devs started it all, along with playable in only one country that only they can play (and btw, has world wide attention now on the crapazz products they are releasing worldwide) is NOT something to sing about.
Wait, maybe it is.......I am sure the mmo industry can come up with a little ditty about Farlan and this hilarious scene they have managed to show off to the world. Maybe something along the lines of The Three Stooges Onstage, or perhaps The Keystone Cops take Madison Square Garden Center Stage......
